I used to do the recoveries in Sydney (metaldetectorhire.com.au) but left the country 7 years back. Looks like you are carrying the torch, and doing a better job than me lol. Awesome! I love the portability and ease of operation. If you do speak to the creators, I would possibly make one small change. I realise it has a flag on it (Diver below), but would it be possible to make the blue ring a brighter color, like yellow or orange? It would make it stand out better from above and below. All in all, its fantastic to see this technology developed right here in Australia. Cheers!

blue and greens are the easiest for the eye to see at long range.Red yellow and orange are short range colors,and yes it's stupid as hell red yellow and orange are used as warning colors. Don't believe me get your wife to paint half her face red and the other half green and walk off at 50-100-and 200 yards.At 200 yards you will know 3 things you can see green better than red ,you should do everything you can to make your wife happy and not get your wife to paint her face half green and red then walk 200 yards away because you read a comment on youtube.

Airbuddy is a genius invention that will bring people to the water more now and it have them explore just because of that simple idea they came up with excellent. And for u bro , I'm want to take a vacation in Australia and see about if I can hang out with you for a couple of a search and recovery of people stuff and treasures. Plus she just a cool dude it's nice to see somebody that's honest great sense of humor and just all-around good person.

Just got my Airbuddy! I’m hailing from Washington state USA. I have only tested in a pool so far but I love it! I mostly underwater detect in waste deep areas but this will open it up considerably. You mentioned John asked what would you change? My thoughts: 1) being able to charge without taking apart to get cover off. 2) being able to unhook air hose from float without taking apart. 3) maybe a universal air hose coupler that doesn’t require line up the notches to disconnect. Other than that I am a longtime scuba diver and got tired of lugging gear and hydro’s,VIP’s on my tanks. If you are mostly shallow water diving SSUBA is the the way to go! Airbuddy!

It only would take one fantastic dive, pay off would be phenomenal..

I did notice the recommendation note about taking scuba lessons and I agree totally. That really concerns me about these personal air supply systems.

What's up? I contacted you a long time ago talking about your hookah system that you used. I decided to hold out for airbuddy. Looks like the long wait might come to an end. I'll be taking mine into the southern states for some underwater river treasure hunting. Right now I free dive which is a pain to hunt for treasure. Can't wait.

There are restrictions for battery types and sizes allowed to be taken aboard aircraft, this may restrict travel with your Air Buddy.

In metal detecting 45+15 minutes is insufficient. I wonder if a water cooled liquid fuel mini generator for same weight could power it for longer periods.

You sure will know if it shuts off"its loud as all hell".I like that a lot,so long as you don't have any hippy fish around...

Awesome product, Just one thing for me was the noise, is that kind of normal with being underwater?. But all and all very nice product, Goodluck with it Mike, It should make your job more easier..🤙..

If the hole were to b punctured by a fish rock or person and you were 20 feet down is there a safety bottle you would put on your belt so you would still have emergency air to get to surface. Just q noticeable issue that was not covered

Oof that thing is expensive but it think it's worth it's money. Looks pretty Nice and seems to be a lot more comfortable than wearing an airtank, jacket n stuff. You also used the Scuba Tector in this Video :P hopefully you will find something with it, i haven't found anything with it yet :D I wish i could affort that :D i have to borrow scuba tanks :P

nice little unit mate just seems a bit too noisy. A bit of sound insulation might fix it or an inline air chamber will muffle the sound through the supply hose.

Do you have to do a scuba corse to use the scubabudy or if someone has done heaps snorkeling and spear fishing would someone be ok with that much experience

I would say make it way more quite if you can

I'd thought they would of given you one, so you could do ur dives and hunting while all the time filming, that would give them more customers to buy one. youl be promoting it for them in all ur videos. I agree it'd a great invention so simple that anyone can use it, be great for day trippers out on boats to look at the colourful fish, instead of wearing all that gear on their backs, this will save alot of time getting ready to dive.. will be good for those that snorkel. That buzzing abit annoying though. Can't wait to see you with ur own 😊😊😊

The compressor is rather noisy. The price - OUCH! Otherwise it looks good. Can you use any regulator with it, or is it specific to one?

USA here, glad to see a new video wasn't expecting a commercial though but that is alright a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. That Air Buddy looks great and I love the fish. May I make a suggestion; when interviewing or talking to a guest ask your question while looking at the guest not at the camera.

Hello Mr Oliver just wondering if he happen to mention how much it costed 4 in an extra battery for the Air Buddy and wondering if you ever come to Canada Ontario Wasaga Beach we have the largest Beach in Canada and you can walk probably about a hundred meters like a football field out before the water gets actually up over your head be a lot of place to find treasure love your videos keep them coming I watch every single one of them you're awesome stay cool

@John B ya for sure come check it out u r only 5hr away I think lol I might b wrong tho come down on a long weekend cuz at night u can do a lot of detecting I only have a crap metal detector so I only can search the beach I really want a under water detector so I can look for stuff in the water as well hit me up if u ever come this way and I will come out with you just to watch u metal detect I will detect on the beach and u can detect in the water

is the 45min dive time extended with a snorkel on the surface ? In other words, does the pump only operate while breathing through the regulator ?

So when scuba diving you have to mix Oxigen and I believe Nitrogen. Since at greater depths Oxigen becomes toxic, what does a Hookah system like the airbuddy use to allow you to breathe at greater depths? I dive in lakes and deep rivers.

Sound travels 4.3 times faster in saltwater than in air . So fast your ears can’t tell what direction it’s coming from. Just a little trivia lol

I found the noise from the airpump disturbing.

It blows my mind there is not more of these out there I love this unit and think its great but the price is a bit high

From your experience, which the best and suitable a dive hookah system suitable for metal detecting in sea water. ? I'm going to start my first dive metal detecting using dive hookah system.

I use the air buddy it’s really good, but he probably uses the Nemo for a number of reasons. 1. It lasts longer than airbuddy by about 30 minutes 2. It’s a lot lighter and easier to transport than the airbuddy 3. He probably doesn’t need to dive deeper than 10 feet 4. He’s on their website so he probably could get paid to do a sponsorship. The airbuddy is better to go in deeper depth like 40 feet (12 meters) compared to the 10 feet (3 meters). The Nemo is also cheaper. But I personally think the airbuddy is better quality and tops Nemo in all aspects other than dive time and weight.

What if a wave hits that thing?
