Hollow 6ft waves are so much fun to bodyboard. Taking that late drop right into a peeling barrel feels so sick.
Have seen some of the sickest, most insane shorebreak waves ever at that break, especially on cyclone swells, and even more so on low tide. I have travelled quite a lot bodyboarding over the years, but when it comes to shorebreak waves, and Mooloolaba on a solid swell, there's no place like home(!!).... Mad footage bro....you lads scored...!!!

True. What a wave! And it can absolutely mutate on low tide with a solid swell
My stepfather told me that, before the rock walls were made, that Pt.Cartwright used to break the whole way across and finish with Mooloolaba Shorey in the cyclone swells and big lows, when he used to surf there back in the early 70's with his father. His father had learnt to surf during the war, and used to travel up and down the Coast from Brisbane, scoring both the Gold and Sunshine Coast, all to themself, camping on the beach and surfing on the weekends and holidays when he grew up. Imagine how good the place would have been then...(!!) Among my favourite shoreys when on a solid swell, especially on low tide.

probably one of the biggest shorebreak waves I've ever caught
Shorebreak waves like these are perfectly rideable on a boggie. I think people just like doing late drop ins. Maybe, it's the air time lol.

True brother. People often make the drop there, even on the biggest swells. I find myself taking late drops there often too.

The camera makes it smaller and still 4ft isn’t small specially if your on a bodyboard.
Love the waves. I am getting old cause this music sounds like shit to me. Is this what people are listening to?
