Those who are wondering what happened to Farooq Chishti? He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007 but the Rajasthan court released him in 2013 citing "he has served enough time". He now lives in his home from where he manages the Ajmer Sharif Dargah. The Dargah where people go for reverence is ruled by a rapist, says much about the people.

Oh my god ! I remember my grandpa telling me this story. How it was a pretty big scandal that time. My grandfather was a civil engineer and use to work near the area when this happened. I was always curious about this case . Thankyou for covering this incident!! I still remember how he was so disappointed that the girls didn't get any justice. In 1992 Sawai Singh (a politician) also had connection with Madan Singh's murder and his name did not come after Madan Singh's death but Madan Singh's sons knew that Sawai Singh was responsible for their father's murder . Rape is currently one of the biggest issue in India. I have a strong opinion that things won't change until the CONFIRMED criminal is subjected to one of the most brutal punishments in the history of mankind that ensure slow and yet painful death. That too in public to convey a message.

Society runs on moralities if there is a system which help or cosndier criminal innocent untill last then the side affect is more amd mroe crime will emerge even in this case, one case turned out into so many. Why? Because the first girl wasn't sure how to tackle it. Awareness Not going to police The society issue from status to other religious reason ( thugh relgion don't supporter criminals but it's more abt status) Third even after gone with so much the end result shows. The system don't want to fix it's wrongs.

thats why Islam has strict punishments for such henius crimes, In Islam when adultry is proven and the adulter is a married person they are stoned to death. just as they are done in Arab countries

I’m not sure if you have heard of this but something very similar happened in the south in a place called pollachi a few years back. The number of girls blackmailed and molested were around the same number, and the guy behind this was from an influential political family. Unfortunately not many news channels covered it and the guy did not face the consequences either. Hearing about this, it gives me goosebumps as to how history repeated itself. Please look into that case. What a time to be alive, and people still say it’s the girls’ fault!

Okay, the Pollachi scandal was literally all over the news, like literally on the news every day for weeks together. There were massive protests and the case was handed to the CBI eventually. This is not to say that there was no coverup in this incident, influential people were involved, and of course there were attempts to coverup, but this was a very prominent case, almost making AIADMK lose in the subsequent elections.
