I know countless people that buy the $20,$30 and $50 scratch offs daily and not one of them has ever given me good news. To be honest it is stupid to buy them. You’re always going to be in the negatives if you buy them daily. It’s a mathematical certainty. My brother just bought 3 $20s and on one of them he won $50. He was happy about that and I laughed at him and said you lost! You lost $10! The odds of winning are 1 in 3.6. You’d have much better luck playing roulette in Atlantic City.

Holy shit, good on you man. I won $10,000 on a $2 ticket, single number like yours this past summer. I almost lost it because I had scratched just the numbers but not the prize yet and looked at the time and realized I had to get back up to my son's therapy place to scoop him up and bring him home. I had completely forgotten about the ticket and went about the rest of my day. That night I remembered that winner and since it was 1 out of 5 I bought and the other 4 were losers I didn't figure a single number on a $2 ticket was worth jumping up and digging out of my jeans pocket from that day...got up later for a drink and checked my pocket only to find the tickets I had stashed there were gone....didn't stress because I thought it was likely a $2 winner....next morning I see them lying on the bathroom floor and was thinking I might as well cash in my $2 to go in towards some tickets when I run out to the store. Needless to say everyone else in the house woke up to me losing my shit because I've never won more than $100 and actually play a lot, and I'm pretty damn broke most of the time since I became disabled last year. It's bittersweet though, feels great at first, but then the reality of the odds sets in and you realize it likely will never happen again so for me anyways it kind of took a little bit of the fun out of it. I don't get my hopes up for a top prize quite so much anymore. I did win the top prize on 2 out of 3 of our holiday games here in Maine this past December though. There's a $1, a $2, and a $5 game top prizes of $100, $200 and $500 respectively...I won the $100 and $500 so I figure last year was my year, I went out on a high note and I won't expect too much from here on out. It's funny too because right before the $10,000 I was in a major slump for almost a year. Im talking nothing over the occasional break even and even those were scarce unless I bought 5 at a time. I thought I was cursed or the lottery here is bunk....my buddy was winning all the time so it was definitely me😅😅😅😅

I remember about 5 years ago their was a news reporter doing a live news stream on an older man in New York City that had been scratching off lottery tickets for 25+ years and had stacks of tickets in his basement kept saying I've wasted my whole life on buying lottery tickets and have thrown away over $350,000 dollars in the process and never ever won more than $100 dollars at any one given time. Kept saying I've got the worse luck in the world. Then the reporter said as he picked up a ticket you "missed" a winner on this scratch off ticket and he said oh I did, how much and on national TV the reporter said $1 million dollars! He said OMG you gotta be kidding. He said only problem is this ticket is like 10 years old 😂. I have a feeling he never got squat.
