Synderen, seeing as we seem to have similar tastes in indie games: Have you played Crosscode? It's a top-down-zelda-like action-adventure game that pretends to be an MMO, and it's up there in the Hollow Knight-Hades-Celeste pantheon of recent indie masterpieces I think.

The MOMENT Shannon said he had a a five year old game to reccomend my Slay the Spire alarm went off. It's easily my favorite game of the 2010's and one of the best games of all time.

@@Seeker265729 yeah, that’s why I didn’t think “platformer” was a good characterization. It has platforming elements, but it’s just a small sum of what makes up a metroid-vania. Celeste is definitely more focused on platforming mechanics than HK, which goes for more emphasis on combat and exploration. Anyways, hopefully SUNSfan gives it a shot so we get to hear what he thinks. It might not be his cup of tea, but it’s definitely a good litmus test for if the genre is for you.

Hey Sunsfan and Synd. Love the show. What do you think about this PVP game mode idea. Dota Deathmatch (ala Aoe2 Deathmatch), where you pick 1 hero, and you have 1 life but you all start at lvl 30 with 35.000 gold, and something like 10X-20 you starting HP (not strength). Map would be like 1v1 mid, so best of 1 tower or similar.

Funniks game on a pos 3 veno still haunt me to this very day. My dude went right click build just cause he had a good laning phase with skadi butterfly and all he did was just use his ulty before he died. Same with a utility veno but without any utility xd.

My god Sunsfan star playing what Synderman recommends Hollow Knight and Darkest Dungeon are master pieces. Probably Darkest Dungeon will get you mad about RNG but still an amazing game.

Absolutely play Hollow Knight, its one of my favorites games of all time and an absolute masterpiece. The story, gameplay, music, atmosphere, environments, everything is masterful, despite being a game made by approximately 3 people and sold for 15 dollars on steam. Darkest Dungeon is also a very well made game. The funny thing for darkest dungeon, with me at least, is that its a game I adore everything about....except the gameplay. After about 20-30 hours of it the gameplay started feeling super stale and tedious. It's also patently bullshit, with a bad run of rng being able to utterly screw you out of hours of work (though I hear that aspect got improved since I last played it, which was back in early access).

Tinfoil hat theory. PGL gave valve a sum of money in order to be able to host TI and DPC. And in turn, PGL gets advertisers like betting ones to gain that money and more back. FIFA level stuff.

Not sure how people are unaware of this, but Valve's rationale for not having ESL run any leagues is that ESL and Dreamhack are owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the most nefarious governments on the planet. It's the same as why Epicenter isn't doing anything with Dota anymore.

They will switch from tournament to tournament taking points no violating anything and holding points and who is better seeded will go to TI so there is no problem with the rules. This is parliament majority shit. Taking money from tournaments basically from 2 sides. I mean NFTs and cheats and what not. Like honestly you can't make this stuff up.
