The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

    2:12 On the one hand, this shouldn't be the nut flush so Hans doesn't have to worry about that, but on the other hand, 2s full is basically the nut flush, because it loses to every other full house, so does he shove all in here with the nut flush? No, I guess not because he is hoping Hans has the nut flush.

  • @ML-sj3gi
    @ML-sj3gi3 ай бұрын

    36:40 Easy all in river for Dan which he messed up. Anything that beats you is betting for value and all you do by check calling is allow weaker hands to escape. What hands are going to check back the river? KT? AK? Maybe. ...and them checking back costs you money. What hands are going to bet for value? full houses, probably some better flushes, and you are paying him off either way. So by checking you mainly let better hands get paid and lose 50% of your value vs most weaker hands. Maybe some random bluffs might bet into the flush? like JQ or 46

    You aren’t the only one. However, In many cases, people like to see authentic high stakes game. Authentic High Stakes games have: -Long Tanks -Lots of needling -Running it twice -Side bets, prop bets and additional games like the “standup game”. -Large amounts loaned amongst players. -Multiple running of board -Bomb Pots Remembering that it’s the players game and not the casinos, dealers or managers game is hard sometimes. As spectators we can only choose what to watch and what not to watch. As for me, I prefer the authenticity but usually fast forward through the long tanks and turn off the sound if people are annoying (ie NikAirball)

    The reason I enjoy these shows… Many people like to see authentic high stakes game. Authentic High Stakes games have: -Long Tanks -Excessive Needling -Side bets, prop bets and additional games like the “standup game”. -Large sums loaned amongst players. -The running of multiple board -Bomb Pots Remembering that it’s the players game and not the casinos, dealers or managers game is difficult sometimes. Many, not all, layers will often not continue to put money in a game in which they can only run it once if all players involved choose to do so. As spectators we can only choose what to watch and what not to watch.
