Love the tip of stepping back once the foreground is done and having the blurred foreground from the Sky Pano smaller than the Clean foreground..

Wow John, What a fabulous image, one of your best, probably the best ever! Super impressed with the detail in the image of the Galaxy and the Superman Barn. It won't be long before the barn collapses as it is looking very tired now, probably as tired as you were when you finished processing this masterpiece! 👍👌😁🏆

I did same gigantic 2,8 gigapixel panorama with sony 85mm at northern hemisphere total zigzag tracked 238 images stitched togheter, but got some problems. First comes PTGui (not Pro version) with huge lack of Control points (my overlap was 65%) i did manualy frame by frame, then PTGui got me a massive banding lines between frames and strange color casting between a vertical rows. Is ithis banding lines and color difference fixably only in PTGUI Pro or how you manage your backround so clean and without starnge banding? Thanks John

Hey John, I’ve been watching quite a bit of your content lately and am quite inspired by your images. I’m also in Australia and have been struggling with “good” polar alignment due to not having a clear view of the south celestial from the locations I’ve shot. Can you give any info on your methods of alignment? Are your sites dark enough to see the octans or do you use drift method or similar? Cheers, Tristan.

  • @johnrutterphotography

Hey mate, thanks for supporting the channel by watching my content 👍 I normally image in bortle 1 or 2 skies, so zero light pollution, so I can see octans clear as. It can be very hard in light polluted areas to see. You can use phone apps to help and Richard tatti at nightscape images has a great video on his channel about how to use them when you can't see octans.

@@johnrutterphotography hey John, thanks for the response. I watch his videos also and use the app method. It’s pretty good most of the time but a bit hit and miss especially out at longer focal lengths. I’ll try get to a decent site so I can find them to help in the darker areas or areas that don’t have light pollution in that direction. Cheers.
