Sachin is once in a lifetime cricketer. The title "God of Cricket" did not come just like that, Sachin earned it with utmost dedication, hard work and integrity for 24 long years. Me and my father watched many cricket matches together during the 90's and 2000's and we used to literally pray while Sachin was at the crease, such was the kind of hope Sachin gave to us cricket fans. I still remember how people used to gather in massive crowds in front of the TV showrooms while Sachin was batting, his craze, fan following and stardom can never be replicated. There was a time when news papers and television channels survived purely on Sachin's charisma. The way Sachin carried the burden of a billion expectations on his shoulders for such a long time is a testimony of his resilience and determination. I can never forget the day Sachin played his last innings, me and my parents felt as if a part of us came to an end. I stopped watching cricket after Sachin's retirement and my father too has never watched a cricket match again. Today's kids think its an exaggeration but only we Sachin fans know the kind of emotional bonding we developed with Sachin during the course of his illustrious career of 24 years. I mean just imagine my feeling as a 7 year old cricket fan in 1989 after seeing 16 year old Sachin batting for India and then growing old along with him for the next 24 years. It is a very unique feeling which only Sachin fans can relate to. I got married in 2007 and I feel proud that my kids too have watched Sachin bat. I felt like an achievement when I showed Sachin to my kids for the first time. I know I'm getting too emotional but I want to say that I'm truly blessed to be born in Sachin's era and I will cherish those moments till the last breathe of my life. I miss my childhood, I miss the innocent 90's, I miss Sachin's batting and I miss my father.

I personally feel there should be a full-fledged movie on Sachin Tendulkar than just a documentary which released a few years back. I'm sure Aamir Khan can do justice to the role but the only problem is his age. I still remember when Lagaan released, I watched the movie on the first day and the whole theatre was full of students and we were shouting "Sachin Sachin" when Aamir came to bat in the movie. It was one of my most memorable theatre experiences. I also remember how some newspapers edited the Lagaan poster with real Indian cricketers and how Sachin's face was perfectly synced with Aamir's, I had that paper clipping for years! I hope somebody makes a great film on Sachin because he is the man who made cricket a religion in India and the present generation deserves to know the greatness of Sachin in detail.
I think people will know who was Sachin. That whole team was in fixing scandals except Sachin Tendulkar and they all hated him at that time and lost lot of games . He still stood tall . That's why he's greatest human being more than cricketer.

I am from a small town in Telangana and I'm proud to say that we have fans associations on Sachin's name since 1994. We have members from every caste and religion and together we distribute food and clothes to the poor on special occasions like Sachin's Birthday. Usually film stars have fans associations in South India but Sachin is the only cricketer to have fans associations on his name. I did my Engineering in Karnataka from 2000 and there too I have seen fans associations on Sachin's name. One of the most memorable moments was the bike rally we did with 100 bikes holding banners and cutouts of Sachin in my hometown when India won the match against Pakistan in the 2003 world cup. It was a special night with full of life, the whole town celebrated the win with fireworks but our bike rally was the center of attraction and I still get goosebumps when I think about it and I'm pretty sure there were similar kind of celebrations allover India. Why am I sharing all this? Today's kids don't know the value of Sachin and I want them to know that we grew up watching Sachin throughout our childhood, teenhood and adulthood and he is very special to us 90's cricket fans. My whole generation knows that no other cricketer has carried the expectations of an entire nation on his shoulders like Sachin Tendulkar and I can proudly say that we are the luckiest fans who witnessed it live. How many of you know that Sachin lost his father during the 1999 World Cup and had to return home to perform the last rites of his father and he immediately rejoined the team and scored a very crucial century to save India from getting eliminated? That's the level of integrity of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, he is indeed once in a lifetime cricketer!
