Purdy was missing is Trent Williams, Deebo, and a banged up McCaffery. In addition Purdy suffered a concussion and played a game within six days. Purdy has had four games with a QBR over 140 this year Cowboys 144.4, Jaguars 148.9, Buccaneers 158.3 and the Eagles 148.8. Only one of those teams does not have a winning record.

They deliberately leave out the context of those losses for the narrative so they have a segment. You don't hear about the rain, missed FGs from a spot 85% of kicks are made from, concussions, bad defensive play calling from Wilkes, not practicing all week while in concussion protocol before the Bengals. It's just stupidily sumed up as they lost 3 in a row because Purdy played bad without 2 players. They know all that but leave it out to create a topic for discussion because that's how this forum works

If you are going to knock Purdy for the three losses, remember that he got his team in a position to win against Cleveland, without Deebo and CMac, and unfortunately Moody missed an easy FG. The two interceptions that he threw against Minnesota in the 4th quarter came after he had suffered an undiagnosed concussion, which is probably why he has not thrown such bad picks in any of his other games. You can also argue that he returned too early from his concussion against Cincy.

It also ignores the fact that he looked incredible against both the Vikings and the Bengals despite the running game and defense being nonfunctional. He was excellent, making huge play after huge play, right through his final dropback leading up to the concussion late in the 4th quarter. Despite no Trent, Deebo, no defense, and no running game. After being sharp and methodical all game, his very next dropback after the concussion was his second interception *all season*. He played the Bengals game while he was still recovering and was the team's leading rusher while making hero play after hero play all the way up to the 4th quarter. He was the only reason the 49ers were competitive in either game.

PURDY gets crucified for losing 3 games without Trent Williams ( on a O-line ranked in the bottom half of the league) and his best playmaker in the WR room in Deebo Samuel. Does hertz still make those “miraculous” comebacks, that’s putting him in the MVP convo without Jason Kelce and AJ Brown? Does Dak still put up big numbers without Zach Martin and Cee Dee Lamb? Because they’re getting praised for numbers when they’re ALL healthy, but PURDY gets cooked for a stretch without BIG TRENT AND DEEBO! Take out Travis Kelce and Chris Jones and we all saw what Mahomes looked like. ☝🏾 ASK THIS QUESTION AND BRING THIS POINT UP WHEN YOURE DOING YOUR SHOW! ☝🏾This is the truth.

This is a good point. I said this in a previous post, but you could say this about almost any top QB. We don't know how Jalen would fare without Kelce or AJ, as neither has missed a game in two years, but it would absolutely be a tougher road without both of them, same is true for Dak if he was down Ceedee and Zach Martin. Jalen was not very good in 2021 when he didn't have AJ Brown (though he was basically a rookie that year, so a lot of his struggles were basic QB growing pains), so, any QB's performance will be altered if they are down some very important pieces. We just don't know as Dak & Jalen haven't been down any for any extended period of time in the last two seasons.

Brock DOES raise the level of play of those around him. You know how I know? The first quarter. When Philly shut down Brock, how many rush yards did McCaffrey have? How much YAC did Deebo, Kittle, or Aiyuk have? 0. -6 yards of total offense in fact. When did our offense actually get going? When Brock completed his first pass for positive yards. He stepped up first and started stringing completions together, and that’s when the rest of the offense woke up and did their thing. But only happened AFTER Brock stepped up. I know people just refuse to see or admit it, but as Brock Purdy goes, so goes the offense. Whenever he has struggled this year, the whole offense struggles. Whenever he’s been on point this year, the offense is on point. So I am pretty sure he is the engine driving that offense. It works the way it works because of Brock.

We saw the cowboys do high level winning with Cooper Rush, in fact he outplayed Dak last year.

Joe Montana was a system quarterback. He ran Bill Walshs West Coast offense. Nobody ever said Joe was a system quarterback

This is a really big game. I'd like to participate somehow. Get the ball back for Dak on an onside kick recovery. Just saying.
