Jumpscare at the start.
Reminds me of how John Goodman can be a terrifying villain or the cuddliest man in the world. That's an unfortunate Mr Beast picture because his smile doesn't reach his eyes.
Stance, visualization, expressions, emotions, experiences in the world, and importantly--practice. "bad acting" just read rather than envelop. Is..that okay?
There are caricatures and there are characters. Or broad brush or no brush. Or acting and being. Leave your bag of tricks on the rehearsal room floor.
