The Seahawks defense ranked 30th in the NFL in yards allowed and 21st in points allowed. What's the biggest jump in those rankings in recent years? By which teams? How did they do it?

    Great video. One interesting fact is that the biggest jump in rankings is associated with coaching (Raiders, Vikings as best example for positive improvement and Eagles for negative change).

    So something you aren't taking into account that you should is time of possession of the team's offense. An offense that drastically improves will automatically make it harder for the opposing defense to gain total yards and points. For example, the Texans offense drastically improved. That's automatically going to limit the opportunity for opposing offenses.

    Definitely a factor, but that would not explain the career years from so many defensive players

    @@RealHawkTalk oh I agree. I'm not claiming it to be "the" reason for anything, just a piece to the puzzle. A team that has moved a lot in rankings likely got better on defense as well as offense.
