Big Yellowfin Tuna on spinning gear. 5 hour fight, never again.

Watch us idiots as we batlle a 350 pounds YFT using a Hopper 600gr. jigging rod and a Stella 20k spooled with Jerry Brown 100 lbs braid. Hopefully the video shows how the mood went from having fun, to disbelief, to despair. And also how much pain we went through. Tuna was caught with Panafishing Adventures, only 8 milles off the anchorage.

One man, one fish--none of this passing the rod to another guy. No "rail rod", and no damn "electric reel" to crank it in for you. Saludos Senor, respeto much.

The quality of that tuna flesh , after a 5 hour fight must have been very disappointing . Wonder if you just wasted 5 hours on a cooked tuna. Too bad.

@@panafishingtv3294 Good stuff bro. You are a beast. I have only cought a 66lb bluefin on spinning rod. I had Saltiga Dogfight 8000h paired with daiwa Proteus 30-60. Since then I got a stiffer rod to make the fight easier. Van stall 500g 70-150 extra heavy.

In Oman biggest one I got was 130kg, they fight real hard! I haven't caught as many bluefin but from the few I caught I'd say yellows fight much harder! Off the boat, it's not that hard to land tuna unless they go deep. From shore, it's a completely different story, the fish don't give up and with 30lbs of drag we fought a 200lber for 3 hours until it got sharked off Cape verde
