10 guage is definitely better for gravy destruction.
The 10 gauge: when it hit the gravy shot up so high it was raining gravy for multiple seconds longer than with the 12 gauge.

I had the chance to shoot a kiln gun 8 ga.winchester industrial 3oz slug. Gun was solid stainless 350 lbs on tripod chained to the kiln structure awesome! one shooter one feeder goes through 2000 rounds at a sitting or an 8 hr shift or the concussion would shake up your innards lol

Judging by some of the tests, it looks like the 10 gauge dumped more energy into the targets. Just because it had less penetration does not mean that it delivered less energy.

Totally agree. you could send a paper ball at 1000 fps at something and do almost nothing but send a bb at 500 and have it go through

Thinking the 10 guage in the car door test may have hit the window regulator guide. Where the 12 just went sailing through.

Very hard to find a 4gauge with shells muskets on the other hand are just tubes of metal. A 4 bore musket is essentially a naval cannon with a stock on it.
I love how happy Scott looks doing this 😆 hes always cheering after the shots
the table just casually being the strongest thing in every video.

12 Gauge 3 1/2" are using about the same power loads as the 10 and you still can use 3" or 2 and 3/4" shells in those, so shotguns like the supernova kinda took over the market.

Honestly a good 2 3/4 or 3" 10g load recoils less than a 3.5 12 load. The main issue with 10g is the lack of steel shot for legal waterfowl

@@jediknight1294 All 10ga loads are 3.5" magnum, ALL. Winchester and Federal make 10ga steel shot loads. Federal makes 00 buckshot and 1.75 oz slugs.

@@BPS10-Ga last time I checked it was hard to get andnpretty much impossible here in the UK but that was like 8 years ago. I miss my 16 and 10 far more than I ever did the 12g. Mainly shot 2 5/8 and 2 7/8 10g Black powder loaded shells or equivilent pressure here and kept some 3 1/2 for the modern gun. I once had a woman tell me she wanted 6 inches...Told her I'm not cutting it in half for anyone!!! Hole size is a very important factor. Just like how the heat of the meat is equivalent to the angle of the dangle.
Shooting the white gravy with the 10 gauge was utterly epic!! IT WAS RAINING GRAVY!!!

The gun he's shooting is a H&R SB 10 Gauge they only made then in 80's to 90's not many left I seen one at my gun shop for $175 still there nobody wants them lol but yeah old guns
It was raining gravy. Amazing. Love how you fixed the car door with a slug.
10 gauge takes the winners belt. The door is inconclusive as it a mystery wherever you hit. Cheers Scott always get excited with the new posts

There's a steel door intrusion beam in those doors. The 10ga slug went in at a downward angle, and hit the beam on the passenger door; that's what cut the slug in half.
NOTE TO SELF: Fix broken car door with shotgun.

The 10-gauge definitely had gravy flying higher and raining longer. Also it blew the can over the backstop the 12 gauge only put it towards the bottom of the backstop. It's almost like an exponential increase in power from the 12 to the 10 gauge

You should measure the air time of each to see which went higher and hence the winner.
I love how when something explodes bigger than he thought it would his gut instinct is to shelter the gun with his body. If that ain't a true gun nut, I dunno what is.

I don't even think they make 10 Gauge guns anymore the gun he has is from the 80's to 90's discontinued. With 12 gauge so common & doesn't kick to bad I don't see 10 Gauge coming back

the hang-time on the gravy with the 10 gauge.. holy hell... couldn't stop laughing.
Close observation shows that the gravy can shot by the 12 gauge stayed on the near side of the retaining wall while the 10 gauge launched its can over the wall.
Dang Scott, I been with ya since the beginning and I bet that range is smelling RIPE by now. 😂👍

I have shot a car before, fun for sure. 12 gauge and 9mm. Hornady 135 ballistic tip zipped thru one door. Didn't have the + P at the time.
10 gauge had better hang time. That splat on top of back stop was gold!

That magazine fed shotgun looks NICE! Maybe try that 10 gauge in some ballistic gel. Just to see the slowmo and how the gel expands on impact.

My Grandad told me the largest gauge he saw in his life was a 2 gauge, it was practically a cannon for duck hunting.
I would say the trees will be dripping gravy a lot longer with the 10 gauge than the 12 gauge. The 10 gauge took the reigns on the gravy slinger
