Great post thanks Will sadly in time this windy road will be no more a very tight road even in a car. I drove old Britsh fuel tankers over this road back in the 70s these new trucks just handle this hill so well lots of power, its hsows just how much heavy traffic goes over this bit of the road. However as a motorcyclist loved this road knew whereyou could wind the bike out. Great to see many of our local carriers in this video. Seeing the JD Hickman truck I used to cart fuel further on to Mahoenui where they had a garage and a small fleet of trucks

+Marc Johnson To do with road license charges based on axle loadings - you will notice the rigid trucks with trailers are twin steer while the tractor units with articulated trailers (like the B train at 7 minutes and low loader at 8 minutes) are single steer.

A perfect example of why this road needs to be done away with and either an alternate route or tunnel is needed. The road surface is appalling as I'm sure these guys realise. While I love the trucks and the video we need to bring this up to government to change and update their thinking, this kind of road will cost too many lives before long. Thanks for posting enjoyed by all.

Agreed the ones tjqy never touch their brakes and just let the Jake carry you down and the right gear man that's a true trucker that isn't pushing people down the road ,,great job guy's plus your stuff will last longer you look professional and the ones that push are wearing out brakes tires and driving like a asshole and what you got there 5 minutes faster lol ,,that's today's truckers way of thinking today these young punks and it is sad cause 9 times outta 10 they grew up in the trucking cause dad drove or everyone in the family drive and back then you did things proper plus today's Trucks are like driving a car so I mean y'all that grew up with it you should all know better ,,you look silly pushing and people remember oh here comes that asshole lol...I will move over when I can no sense pushing people down the road man,,,have some class and stay off people's ass 10-4 ??? I gotta say you guys over there keep that iron looking beautiful absolutely beautiful!! That's just pure pride driving those and I'm over here in GuelphOntario, Canada!! I'm a hours drive from Toronto Ontario Canada,,u mean there is guys that take pride in their rigs or company's but man the most of it is just a truck,,, not kept like you guys keep your fleets ,,it looks good and professional when the driver pulls up to the customer, but they don't seem to care here it's hurry up go go go,,fuck that man I been doing it to long to run like that and I never really did as I learned from the older guys that cared and wanted to make things last,,your guys trucks there at 6 years old still look brand new ,,ours lol unreal and silly cause you would think these fleets would like to keep there rigs beautiful but nope they don't Keep on trucking boy's and always keep the sunny side up,drive careful be safe and
