  • @letsrolloutdoors

    @letsrolloutdoors

    3 жыл бұрын

    You can catch them on anything really. The best baits are fresh cut baits - chunks or strips of mullet, bluefish, pinfish, whiting. If the menhaden schools are thick in the spring then fresh menhaden is a go-to. Good luck!

    @@zduck_KZread Thanks for the comments and feedback. Shrimp is always a great bait. Caught plenty of puppy drum on fresh shrimp. The problem with shrimp this time of year is the little fish will keep you busy nibbling the shrimp off your hooks. But, shrimp is always a good bait. You can try multiple set ups with a smaller hook with shrimp to catch everything, and a different set up with a bigger hook and cut bait. This time of year you can catch a mix of little stuff with occassional puppy drum mixed in. Make sure you're fishing good structure like a trough or rip tide and fish while the tide is moving. Thanks again. I have a lot of content that I need to find time to edit. We'll keep working on it. Good luck!

    Thanks I am headed out to Onslow Beach in the morning with two bags of blood worms and 11 mud minnows. I am going to fish for whiting and reds.
