Bayou Phoenix will have a permanent place for movie and television productions, with guidance from Elvin Ross, as he opens E. Ross Studios.
He has worked with Tyler Perry and won an Emmy while working with Disney.

Amazing black excellence
Beautiful story and it is great to see someone doing amazing things with their life but I don’t understand why anyone would invest so much time, money and effort in such a place that won’t even protect its residents from the threat of flooding. So much of the city floods with just a few minutes of rain and with „climate change“ or „corruption“ the government never seems to do anything right to protect the city.

May I provide another perspective, the only way to protect yourself in America is to be rich and have resources to "influence" politicians. The area of New Orleans that was flooded was done so because the folks lacked resources and were viewed as expendable. There will likely be corporate money like Westin and Hilton in that development, they will be protected.

@kngston20 The infrastructure was neglected. If it had happened in a high income area, Katrina would be forgotten; like Hurricane IKE which had one of the most property damage, but in a high income area.

New theme park
It’s kool and all that…. BUT, soon as it open ima be counting down the days until someone gets shot outside the parking lot or a dead body was found near the site. I’m not at all excited or have high hopes for this place. Don’t blame me for thinking like this it’s New Orleans that made me this way.
