Big Ounce Returns (not clickbait)
BOY OH BOY this video is 4-5 weeks old and I now have 1 baby hawk, 2 baby beavers, 2 baby prairie dogs, some baby owls, a baby armadillo, countless songbirds, rabbits, opossums, raccoons, squirrels, doves, a baby vulture, baby groundhogs, plus the infinite other creatures we already care for and it’s just me 4 days of the week here!
Stay tuned because it’s gonna get crazy-but thank you for being patient as I am the only fella running all these accounts and that’s how I like to keep it 👨🏻🌾🤝
Love,
Uncle Farmer Dad Ben

Hey Uncle Ben, I don't know if you check the comments, but for future reference: I'd be very cautious of gas station bait/feeder minnows. They're usually raised in extremely poor conditions and are very prone to parasites and disease, which can spread to the creatures that eat them (mainly other fish, but possibly amphibians and birds too). I'd recommend trying to source them from a company who specializes in selling minnows for pond stock, as they are usually bred in open outdoor water, making them less prone to illness! Thanks a ton, love your content!
@The_Crucible714

Unfortunately the same thing is true about feeding bait-shop nightcrawler & worms. It’s better to source your own (start a worm farm) or order them from a professional company that raises them for pet consumption.

Owlets will often leave the nest before fully fledged. They just hang out in the area, on tree branches etc for several days until the mother stops feeding them when they start to fly. Unfortunately that’s when many are subject to being killed by domestic pets; dogs & cats.
Fun fact: beavers respond primarily to the sound of running water. It triggers their instinct to build a dam. Researchers found this out by playing the sound of running water through speakers in a beaver enclosure, and the the beavers covered the speakers with mud and sticks. How weird!
I still remember when I was gun running in the Middle East and big once took me to get a coffee sat me down and told me to stop my evil ways. Troubles are temporary but the glory of Rome is forever brother. "Of all men they alone are at leisure who take time for philosophy, they alone really live; for they are not content to be good guardians of their own lifetime only. They annex every age to their own; all the years that have gone before them are an addition to their store. Unless we are most ungrateful, all those men, glorious fashioners of holy thoughts, were born for us; for us they have prepared a way of life. By other men's labours we are led to the sight of things most beautiful that have been wrested from darkness and brought into light; from no age are we shut out, we have access to all ages, and if it is our wish, by greatness of mind, to pass beyond the narrow limits of human weakness, there is a great stretch of time through which we may roam. We may argue with Socrates, we may doubt with Carneades, find peace with Epicurus, overcome human nature with the Stoics, exceed it with the Cynics. Since Nature allows us to enter into fellowship with every age, why should we not turn from this paltry and fleeting span of time and surrender ourselves with all our soul to the past, which is boundless, which is eternal, which we share with our betters?" - Lucius Annaeus Seneca, Chapter XIV from "On the Shortness of Life"
