I just really want them to fix all the sound effects from 1 and 2 hero’s vs villains music kills the audio after sometimes in space there’s a loud shotgun sound and the loading sound from 1 better be fixed

There is a serious game breaking glitch on the PS five I don’t know if anybody else noticed it, but whenever I’m in certain maps, my game freezes, goes to a green screen, then totally shuts down my entire PlayStation and that is the only game that does that so I don’t know what’s going on with battlefront and it green screening meand shutting down my consul it’s nothing to do in my consul. My council is all fine.

To be fair I want the style and sounds of the game to be the same as the originals such as them fixing the battlefront 1 loading screen sounds so the class selection being changed bothers me

I hate to say it but the ship has sailed. There are ~350 players online on Steam currently, less than the OG games. It doesn't matter if they patch it now, the community is gone

Perhaps; though word of mouth might get folks to slowly start coming back if things get fixed. Didn't Battlefront 2 (EA) have a huge drop then slowly started to get folks to come back?

@@ackbarfan5556I think I may know what will help in a way. A few years back. EA's Battlefront 2 was actually free on the Epic games store. Maybe if they do something similar too that for the Classic Collection on Steam. That could get the player base too fire back up. After the game receives a few more fixes that is.

I don't know, all my friends who had the game back in the day, never even HAD online. We just played split screen and solo. Now, I don't know anyone in my circle who wants to do anything more than play in a custom game vs bots. From my point of view, I don't think the community is gone, I think it's waiting until the game is in a good state to play.

Personally I would take the battlefront two remastered mod over the classic collection sense one it just looks better and two. I hear that you can play online with it still.

Hosting my own servers still works better than joining a dedicated, however my friends are having an easier time actually finding my lobbies now. Honestly the connection we had was never terrible in our own servers

if youre on xbox - set up the server and have them join your game via the friends list in the xbox menu. havent played PS in ages so if its similar there i assume it would work the same. they wont even have to boot the game up they can just hit join and when it loads up they load into the server

Finally there is hope for this game!!

To me Battlefront classic collection is like an old well used tool that may have sat in the toolbox for a while. It needs a touch of WD-40 to loosen it up and a little bit of elbow grease and polishing and it’ll be fine.

Much smoother but update 1 broke split screen on PC. Soon as that's fixed it gets a 10/10 from me.

Nope, this new update just f***ed my game.. All my legendary awards are not working. They dont activate when i spawn in. I even reset the game, double checked my stats and nothing worked. They messed it up with this update. It was working fine prior to it. PS5 btw

It's not just you. Both of us are having the same problem. I've already reported it to Aspyr. I suggest both of you guys do the same if you haven't. The more of us to tell them. The more likely they'll fix it in next patch.

I just miss the old days when they brought out the game and it was done. NO updates whatsoever. They do nothing but harm or make something patched like a fun glitch. Takes the fun out of the game if you ask me

Just finished the BF2 campaign with the cut scenes added back and finally after almost 2 weeks of waiting for this to play that campaign with the cut scenes and refusing to play it without them, I finally got my platinum trophy I was just sitting on for this patch to come out. That’s #94 in my collection. Unfortunately like alot of folks have said, I’m not bothered about online anymore, I’ve moved on, and now playing other games. Finished South Park Snow Day yesterday and now on Planet Zoo. I have too many games I need to play that I haven’t got time to wait for Aspyr to sort their shit out.

Can’t wait to hop on PS5 tomorrow! 501st campaign with full cut scenes! Lets goooo

Was playing for a bit earlier after downloading the patch. Definitely some massive improvement in lag and hit detection. Still experienced some lag spikes and hd issues here and there, but before it felt unplayable and now it actually feels alright. Hopefully second patch improves it even more

Adding cross play would help with these empty lobbies.

They did but there's an asterisk. At least on the Switch version. So, for some reason, the end of mission triggers the INTRO scene for the mission (and if subtitles are on, the words for the end of mission scenes are what is shown) and then once the intro scene is over, it then plays the correct scene. On top of somehow breaking Legendary medals, this collection and the update is just... how?

In my multiplayer experience, it is still not 100%. I think its due to the connection between the host and the players. Hosting may be the top connection but those who hasn't got an advanced connection, there's a bit of lag, hit detections aren't 100%. Of corse aspyr may have fixed some of the major issues, but the damage is done and I think they need to put something like a connection warning saying what connection you'll expect from the host.

7.43 GB patch is larger then i expexted for XBox X! Thanks for the update. Installing now cant wait to play

I like the patch. But at the same time I hate it. The thing literally made legendary medals bug out, meaning you don't get the affects or weapons in the beginning.

The after mission cutscenes are back in the campaign! Audio is cleaner also. Online is smoother too and hits register a little better

The update killed the legendary status for the awards. You can still get legendary, but you won't start the match with the effects

Does anyone know if they fixed ai hero/villan spawning in single player instant action. Soo lame that there’s only 1 hero/villain in a match

No heros ai in bf2 modes, and now in certain map in bf1&2 textures are missing, creating see through invisible walls and stairs.

My hit detection is still very messed up (I play on ps4) and it’s the most frustrating thing that makes the multiplayer unenjoyable. I hope the second update fixes this for everyone

Glad to hear! They improved hit Detection. Im going to play tonight.

Finally happy to see the game get updated for the consoles too. Everything seems to be in order.......but there's still some bugs and other issues in the game. Like for my gameplay, it played the starting mission cutscenes at the end in Rise of the Empire Campaign. And the end mission subtitles played in there too. Then after that, it plays the actual End Mission cutscenes. Only without the subtitles despite them being on. Hopefully they fixed this in the next patch. Other then that, everything seems in order.

I got in an AT-RT and I was destroying the turrets in the Mygeeto mission and after that I glitched or lag spiked all the way to one one of turret platforms. Tried using an AT-RT to destroy the power source to energy crystals and almost got flung off the map. So now basic vehicles are fucked over too.

What is Overwatch like? I recently began the first Mass Effect "campaign," and I LOVE it! 😍

before the update i could split screen with my friend after the update only 1 person can use controler

I was playing on Xbox earlier this morning and the hit detection still sucks! I can't stand when I'm shooting someone and then the hits just miss making me look like a Stormtrooper missing my shots!

@starwarshq I did yes and I was playing on Series X. The install for the patch took about 7 minutes. I just wish it worked flawlessly and buttery smooth for Series X Standards. I haven't played on switch yet and I expect to be the same on there. Good thing there is update 2 on the way but the way it plays on Series X is unacceptable for it to be laggy when the console is $500.

Wow, it looks like a finished product.

Legendary perks have been altered. Even if you have Legendary status on your weapons or abilities, you still have to earn them once per match to get them permanent only for that match only which is a little bit of a weird change in my opinion. The upside is is that if you want to use your base perks, Endurance, Guardian and War Hero but don't want to use the Elite stuff, you can toggle on or off for those weapons. Thats a good side to this update anyway.

Am I excited for SW hunters? No. Am I going to buy it and play it. Yes. Soon as I can

At least on switch, i think the awards are bugged now. My progress toward some awards doesnt reset when i die. I get frenzy, war hero, etc after a couple of kills when i respawn. Dont think thats right. But its nice to finally have inversion back!

What's the point if they still haven't fixed the horrible aim acceleration and low sensitivity? It feels awful.

The biggest problem for me with the Battlefront Collection is that the title is a lie. It’s not a collection, it’s a bundle. If it were truly a collection then Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron would be included.

Really want Aspyr to have a comeback story from this…. But I just don’t see it happening 😢 No word on missing content (AI won’t control their respective heroes offline instant action CTF and GA as they did 20 darn years ago on Xbox and PSP, missing vehicles on BF1 on levels like Naboo: Plains: where the hell are our starfighters?) At this point they need to go on a major PR crusade to bring people back: they broke RECORDS in the amount of refunds they had to dish out….. what better way to get people back than fixing their product and possibly cranking out some more free content for us? (Example: sandbox mode. Wanna have a space battle of rebels VS droids? Build your own battles: pick your own heroes? Give us a sandbox mode!)

Hopefully on steam I can actually get a chance to really play multiplayer. My permanent unlocks still work on steam on pc but I’m genuinely curious if they carry over to multiplayer but I highly doubt it. I hope things get better from here on out but I’m primarily a single player person

Unfortunately the update broke something else. I'm a General already in the game and have both the award rifle and pistol unlocked, it does not give them to me automatically as I spawn in. I already have them at Legendary as well to permanently give me the weapons in Singleplayer, the progression system in Battlefront 2 is completely broken. Everyone report this bug to Aspyr immediately!

I honestly forgot Hunters even existed. I thought it was just canceled.

Played the Nintendo Switch version, while its better, it still need needs work. There are a lot more people so definitely gets hectic, hence I need the hit detection to be better (works half the time). Hopefully they keep improving and do consider adding cross platform.

they took way to long to update this game, Glad i refunded. We just need an actual new battlefront. Not a remaster, not a remake, an actual new one. as long its not in UE. every UE game kinda feels the same which isnt great.

Ok so I try to play multiplayer on BFII but no servers are showing at all.

I e had no issues since day one on my Xbox series x. I’m annoyed no one’s coming back to play the online as it’s so much fun. Oh well guess I’ll sit and wait for bf3

the servers are still busted. I encounter less lag when I play but getting the server browser to actually function can be annoying af.

Yes they do, but from what I've read on Reddit, some guy said you needed to enter a cheat code for every time you on a different mission, for example - once you entered a cheat code for the first chapter of either battlefront campaign , you have to enter the same cheat code all over again once you play in another chapter of the campaign.

As far as I know star wars hunters is going to be and was pland as a mobile game. My friend, when he played online it was a bit glitchy he was in a gun fight and half the visual got covered up half the TV like you would see a pc or TV that broke/got its screen smashed and he's playing on a new TV and with new hdmi and took his ps4 in and the port was just fine. For stbfcc

Love the rise in player count for the update too before the game was DEAD

Hopefully people come back to the game, EA battlefront 2 lost most of its playerbase almost immediately and never recovered, and I refuse to let go of this gem and let it die yet

To give EA's Battlefront 2 credit they were making a full game. The fact that Aspyr messed up a remake this roughly is embarrassing

I dont see any actual changes, the loading chime in battlefront 1 is more broken then before, i still get stuck alot on invisible walls and edges that def didnt been there in the ogs. And i waited weeks for basically nothing. Cool

They should have added modern Star wars characters like Mando, ahsoka, Qui-Gon jinn, Rex, padme There's more I can't think of right now

The update has taken away my legendary perks so all that hard work has gone down the drain so upset.

The upgrade for the original pc isnt enough. For the consoles this upgrade is ok but not great but still they should have made a real remastered version.

Aspyr can't get anything right they fixed the loading sounds for Battlefront 2004 but introduced a glitch for Battlefront 2 where you can't use your legendary weapons at all how long will we have to wait for a patch for that ( as long as that patch doesn't brick the game, I wouldn't put it past them ) the Battlefront classic collection is a joke I would love it to be a fully working playable game but at the moment it's not good

yes, just played an hour of it before making this video and I can confirm that the lag has been improved on PS5 after the patch!

I played this a little bit today. The game is better but still feels awful to play on an Xbox controller

Why didn't they just delay the game a month?
