Re-watching this video and many others. It was so sad that Uniek lost another foal at birth. I will always remember how wonderful a mom she was to Risey. I hope she has many happy days ahead and gets plenty of rest and healing with her horse friends in the meadow. Of course lots of love and pellets from Yvonne ❤️

Uniek is taking a tour of the stalls, better inside than out in the rain. Uniek appears to me to be a very wise mem. After all, SHE IS THE QUEEN!!

Uniek is thinking "I don't want to go out, it's raining, my hair will get ruined!" Then she took a few steps & looked around as if to say "I'm a zillion months pregnant, I just want to relax. When is this kid going to be born?!" When I heard Yvonne comment that Uniek's legs were swollen I immediately thought poor Uniek she's going through it all just like a human does.💞🐎

I'm seeing this just today & in hindsight it's so interesting. It's almost as if Uniek knew & sought out Ginny's company. Ginny is being so gentle, no rough housing & Uniek looks so sad. Also interesting of all the stalls she had access to, she chose the single stall. Who else wants to give beautiful, dappled Uniek the biggest hug ever?

I wonder if Uniek knew that something was wrong with her foal at this time. :-( RIP *Star*. Uniek looked like she didn't feel well. And Geertje leaning down to try to sniff her belly. I think they KNEW there was something wrong with the foal even then. :-( poor Uniek. But it ended with Rising Star and that's a good thing.

Queen Uniek knows it's raining and hates it like any normal Queen would. She's staying inside!

Poor Uneik that last week seems to take forever. She's like no thanks I want to stay dry where the food is. Reintje and Reina are beautiful.

Uniek is grouchy. She is feeling like how we all feel, “When is this goal going to get here. I am tired, I can’t move, everything irritates me. C’mon contractions!”

Your weather is the same as ours on the west coast of Canada. Cold and raining here, too. Uniek looks at you as if to say "Are you nuts? I'm not going out in that!" She has really dropped. What the heck is that foal doing in there? Is he or she polishing their little hooves? lol. We're all waiting with bated breath. 😍🙏🐎

Poor Uniek…I was 17 days late with my first child..I know how she must feel!😞 she looks about ready though!🥰

Watching this video knowing she would lose her baby is so sad. You could tell she wasn’t feeling well. You were so gentle with her. You didn’t try to make her go out. You have a gift. You are so in tune with all of your animals. You are a wonderful example of how we should all treat our animals. 😊

She wouldn't let you even guide her out! I wish she would hurry up and foal. I've been waiting for this for a while. Uniek looks so healthy and robust, I hope her foaling will go well for her and the foal!

Great video! Uniek is so funny and a bit stubborn today. But still poses for her picture! And Reintje is a hoot eating Reina's supplements! I hope Uniek has her foal soon so her leg swelling goes down.

I bet she knows her time is near and wants to stay in the stall and near sources of comfort and support.

So very sad about poor Uniek losing her beautiful colt foal Star RIP

No, I'm at home with my family. And with the camera. Rein is next to the stable to keep am eye on Uniek. If anything is happening... I'm going to the stable.

If milk is dripping, she'll go into labor in 24 to at the most 48 hours. My mare was also a week overdue. When she started dripping, she had her filly.

I remember how I felt looking at Uniek here, the deep down restlessness and uncomfortableness my body knew it was happening soon. It's amazing how you can remember that. Poor Queen Uniek she looks so fed up and irritable. Hope for her that something happens soon. I went 2 weeks overdue and it was a very uncomfortable time in the middle of an Australian summer. Thank you Yvonne for keeping us updated.

Ditto... My son was born, Dec 28..... Xmas day spent stirring the gravy , for my Mum, over a HOT wood stove.... That brought him out! 😂👍 My Daughter, 2 wks over, in similar weather! But both strong and beautiful!! Lisa 🇦🇺🐨💙♥️
