@@TheSlick44y The parent company of CH decided to stop funding it and sold it off to the CCO, Sam Reich. He obviously didn't have the funds to keep on the staff at it's existing levels. So nearly everyone was let go (prior to the sale so they all got severance), and then some (such as Brennan) were hired back on after. I haven't heard anything more in about a week, but Sam had stated on discord that D20 was one of his top priorities moving forward. Of the cast of D20, only Brennan and Ally were CH employees, the rest were contractors, so the impact to D20 hasn't been nearly as big as with the rest of CH's properties. I know a large portion of the staff for the show were also contractors (the model/set building team for example) but I'm not certain what the current state of the editing and filming and other staff is. In general Sam said he was going to try and renegotiate contracts with many former CH employees, most likely for non-exclusive contracts so they can work elsewhere as well. Him and the community at large has also been making an effort to help connect former employees with potential employers so that everyone gets back on their feet.

i love that theres no explanation of who these boys are or why they all have the same name, the assumption is that if you're watching this its because you already know and love the good good mcelboys. id love to see the person who has no idea who they are watch this and get to 5:04 where travis calls clint dad

@yes Yeah, the older gentleman who plays boomer is Clint (and their father), then Rick Diggins is Justin who is the oldest, Bean is griffin and the youngest, and Cargo is Travis who is the middle child. People typically just call them the mcelorys since they all are related and do a ton of shows together :)

here's a summary of what i knew about the mcelroys before this ep: - three brothers: griffin, justin and ??????? someone else i guess lmao idk (now i know he's called travis) - they're iconic nerds i guess ?????? - podcasts??? or something - everyone loves them - at least two of them used to work at polygon but then left - i believe they drink their Respect Women Juice™ and said gay rights but i need confirmation - that's it, that's all i know :-)

They're probably best known for their podcast My Brother, My Brother, and Me (an advice show for the modern era), but are on like, A LOT of other podcasts as well. Including their own RPG Podcast, The Adventure Zone. They do indeed drink respect women juice and say gay rights. What else, oh! They have branded officially branded they year 2020 as 20Funny: Fill your life with laughter and love.

i did actually start doing eyeliner and sparkly eyeshadow - it's pretty fun

I love that Justin has, over time, whipped Clint into using character voice without prompting.

Leave it to Griffin McElroy to recreate the circus scene from A Bug’s Life.

After just finishing balance, the fact that Clint is almost OVERusing his character voice just brings a god damn tear to my eye, and probably justins too

Damn, Travis is looking great. Purple hair, painted nails, and I think eye shadow? Mascara? Whatever it is, it works on him.

As a French person, I did not realize Justin was mimicking a Frenchman, that sounded more Italian-American to me. Useful trick: most French are completely unable to do a rolling R ;)

@@BioshockChar Actually I recently read that rolling R were a sign of distinction in Québec a few decades ago! But in France it is rarely heard, except maybe in some Southern regions (I was born near Paris and live in the Loire Valley).

Every single one of these characters is so good! I like that all of Rick Diggins' identities are treated as separate people, and that one of them is a goddamn dinosaur.

To the people unaware, FANTASY HIGH S2 returns TONIGHT live on dropout’s twitch channel!! So, if you’re not caught up, signup for Dropout asap! Sam has explicitly stated that Dimension 20 will be an integral focus for CH going forward. Brennan was rehired as a full-time employee. They have Tiny Heist currently releasing every Thursday at midnight, the 5th full season of D20 is basically ready for release in a few months and they’ve got the live shows for FH every Wednesday to breach the gap. The amount of episodes left will likely be discussed tonight but we’re basically D20 content rich right now and we should continue to support these awesome people to continue that as long a possible! huzzah I was hopeful for the show since it was obviously doing well and really the main cost of a RPG show was the set which they had already built. I imagine it'll be a different show moving forwards through the live show not so much but the ones like this I doubt they have the team to make the fancy battle scenes? Still Dimension 20 still exists yay!
