BIG KINGS STACKING UP, 2023 Salmon Run Gettin Rollin
First week of September 2023, surface temp 67 F. The kings are starting to stage up near the creek and river mouths on the south shore of Lake Ontario. The pattern seems to be that the big males show up first in the warm water, just like the beast we catch (and release) in this video. Definite sign that the fish are looking to start crashing the tribs.

The big boys are starting to put on some color. Great fight on him. Hoping for some cooler weather to get back out fishing.

Agreed, this weather is pretty brutal. Looking forward to some real fall weather.

Thx, it's always sketchy netting them when they're still swimming like that, but it worked out.
