Really? Bringing somebody in to complain about some bullshit? Since when is it an artist's job to stroke offended egos? Smh. And starting an interview off with "I won't start with the issues I have with you"...horrible. Krit deserves more respect than to get thrown into your bullshit.

That radio station little quibble was so lame and unnecessary. As an artist, your purpose is to promote your music as much as possible. Why would he waste his time promoting on HOT 97 when the OTHER station has more listeners??? It's not an artists job to cater to radio stations bruised egos.

Krit was there giving them so much while they just laugh to themselves and talk over him the whole time...Then they talk about his music as though their air-play is what's keeping his career alive. Did they not catch him say he was doing the Tonight Show later that evening? Clearly Krit's much bigger than they think, and them getting upset with him for not giving their station priority is just so weak...Especially when the host says he's never even heard "Praying Man". If I were Krit, that would be my last visit to that station...He's too good to be wasting time with them.

First I want to say Big K. R. I. T gave a great interview. Honest, genuine as well as articulate carried himself well. I am a big fan of his and I will keep supporting his music. Hot 97 get over yourselves. Ultimately Big K. R. I. T management prioritized the other station because ultimately they have more listeners. Although it's I understand you guys on Hot 97 supported Big K, business is business. The other station has a bigger reach and could give his album a bigger push. Don't antagonize your guests and try to involve them on your squabbles with the other radio station, that is extremely petty and unnecessary!

Does Hot 97 honestly believe they break anything? Break records through spins? Break artists through interviews early in their careers? I sure don't. I may be wrong, but whenever I latch on to something REALLY popular within the hip-hop community, you best believe that it's through blogs or viral videos on KZread/Worldstar. I don't listen to radio and I only get to see interviews with newcoming artists AFTER THEY'VE BROKEN THROUGH. That was some petty shit to get mad over. It's a mutual benefitial relationship between artists and radio stations, but there's definitely more to gain for the radio stations. Radio relies on artists, artists don't rely on radio.

Really..I am so confused. Should we in the South, primarily in MS be made he did not come and release his record here or came to the record station her in the Sip. Not at all. That was out of place and weird. Krit got to work and he making rounds, also, this is personal beef with the stations and that should not be on Krit. Not fair and that heat was misdirected, And I know that is not the first time this has happen. It feels like they are annoyed because its a southern rapper and they deserved special accolades for the helping the southern rapper. That was some BS

Great interview. Bigotry exist even within creative walls of Hip Hop. It's group dynamics 101:Most naive individuals are afraid of and don't care about the unknown, the underrepresented. Once it's mass consumed...Oh, now you wanna hear country brotha rap. Radio politics is also hurting music. All of this radio beef and taking this personal is is just bad for business. You gotta stay neutral, like Big K.R.I.T said.

Big K.R.I.T. is so smart and talented... nice to hear and see. His analysis about the music industry, the society, the south are very interesting. He makes a great case for southern states like Alabama and Mississippi that people avoid because of their history of racism and other stigmas.
