Easily one of the most organically funny people of the last century and that's not an exaggeration. Thanks for doing what you do bro. I know it's a cliche at this point and probably uncomfortable to hear, but I'm going through it at the moment, and being able to tune out the bullshit and laugh for a bit genuinely helps. Sorry I couldn't donate more- in a particularly tight spot right now financially. You're a rare kind of funny man. Hope the special does well.

I seriously cannot believe his wit and word use to this day and I’ve been a fan for a decade, this guy gets words and he says them really good in a good way
Such smooth, effortless and genuinely funny storytelling. No taboos, but no tackiness; a perfect mix of raw, "nasty" humour and sophisticated, smart and fun commentary. Big Jay is such a natural! He's like a big bowl of mashed potatoes: simple, velvety, in-your-face goodness. He doesn't need to resort to any cheap gimmick or shtick to make people listen and burst out laughing. As a French Canadian who does appreciate all the great comics we have back home, I do wish you could visit someday and bring some of that unadulterated, eloquently deadpan comedy to Québec City, or at least Montreal someday. Much love to you, Big Jay and to all y'all in America! (Mandatory sorry: always wanted to try and use the "y'all" for myself at least once, haha.)

Me and my fiancé were the people in the crowd Big Jay was talking to at the very beginning. It was such a fun experience and an absolutely amazing special. Big Jay will go down as one of the greats.

Jay was sitting near me on some steps in New York when I was visiting. We talked a bit, nice guy. Saw him not too long after with Dave Attell in Toronto. Love his stuff.

About 2 years ago, I was going through a really rough time in my life, and found myself slowly spiraling out of control. A close friend of mine always tried cheering me up by telling me to listen to the bonfire, he would tell me almost everyday. I always pushed it off because I always though podcasts were pointless and a waste of time. Long story short, the bonfire is the only podcast I listen to. Jay, you are easily one of the funniest people on the planet. Much love to you, Dan, and Bobby.

Happy birthday to an absolute legend! Even if Big Jay doesn’t realize it, he has helped a lot of people with his comedy. It’s crazy to think about the fact that you don’t even have to know or even meet someone for them to help you through the day. Happy birthday, again Big Jay 🤙
First of all, congrats on the special Big Jay, you're a living legend. Not to get all personal and whanot, Big Jay is one the nicest, funniest and genuine "famous" people I have ever met. When he came to Montreal over the years, it felt like my friend was in town. Thank You Big Jay for just being one of us. Louis Gomez once came into where I worked and demanded we let him use our employee only restroom so he could " dump a load, doggy". why he couldn't use the public restroom I'm not sure but apparently he's a UFC fighter so we let him jerk off in our bathroom basically

Big Jay has got to be one of my favorite comedians. Never disappoints. His live performances are insanely good. Probably the funniest man in podcasting.
Damn man, Big Jay knocked it out! Ari, The production was excellent and as part of the staff, I can honestly tell you that Christine Evans worked her ass off to make this venue and special the best it could have been. Skankfest was the perfect time and place for this. Big Jay Oakerson is at the top of his game in radio, on stage and just as a human being. Thanks for making us a part of your journey brother.
