Have loved this band since the 90s when my husband and I lived in Colorado. They are from Boulder, CO and this concert took place at Red Rocks near Denver which has amazing acoustics. They were playing for their home crowd. It's a gorgeous song and the lyrics are poetry.

I think they all went to the now infamous Columbine. Todd did for sure. But they played in Boulder and Ft. Collins a lot, for sure.

I've never heard of this band, I think I would have remembered that name!! Okay, quick check, they are a rock band which formed in 1986 in Colorado, so that's interesting. I really like this, lovely melody, nice vocals, good guitar solo, what's not to like about it?? Thanks so much for this reaction, guys, and for introducing me to another new band! All the best.😊👍

GEORGE AND PATRICK! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS & YOU DID RED ROCKS 😭😭😭 You rule! 👑 Most people don't catch the words in the 2nd & 3rd verses to show how much the relationship has changed over time because the melody & voice tone is fairly consistent. Anyone that's been in a long term relationship can relate on some level. (I've been married 28 years) Verse 1 A little light looks through her bedroom window She dances, and I dream She's not so far as she seems Of brighter meadows, melting sunsets Her hair blowing in the breeze And she can't see me watching Verse 2 I said I'm older now I work in the city We live together But it's different than my dream Morning light fills the room I rise She pretends she's sleeping Are we everything we wanted? Verse 3 Said I know we don't talk about it We don't tell each other All the little things that we need We work our way around each other As we tremble and we As we tremble and we bleed As we tremble and we As we tremble and we bleed Chorus (BELOW) & title make sense now, right? I think of it this way - somedays the relationship it's more bitter than sweet. Others, more sweet than bitter. Overall, it's a bittersweet SURRENDER. "I'm thinking love Love Love Love It's bittersweet More sweet than bitter Bitter than sweet It's a bittersweet surrender It's bittersweet More sweet than bitter Bitter than sweet It's a bittersweet surrender"

One of my co-workers from California (I'm from the Southern USA) got to talking with me one day about music. He asked me if I'd heard Big Head Todd and the Monsters, which I had no clue. I'm 65 so what a wonderful surprise when I looked them up and loved them. I called him and asked if he had more suggestions. He told me Snarky Puppy and to start with live DVD recording session called We Like it Here and start with Shofukan. I was blown away. Ever so often I call him back and ask him What else you got?

Thanks for the reaction. I've loved listening to Big Head Todd and the Monsters for over 30 years now, and it is just as fresh now as it was when I first listened to them. Just a great and talented band. It's unfortunate they don't get the acclaim and recognition they deserve. If you want a unique video to react to, I would suggest Big Head Todd's solo video of When the Levee Breaks, it's brilliant.

One of my favorite bands from the 80's and Todd is a fantastic guitarist, one of the best. Pretty underrated I think, although they got relatively popular. This is them playing for the hometown crowd and while I wasn't there I can guarantee you everyone in that crowd was singing along and hanging on every note. Bittersweet was off their second album Midnight Radio and I believe their first hit song here locally. Midnight Radio is one of my favorite albums, just beautiful stuff. They have played Red Rocks more than any other band I can think of.

Todd Mohr the lead singer is a great guitarist! You should check out them singing and playing Rosalita with the famous John Popper, that is another great vid and more recent so you can see how the band sounds now. I believe Rosalita was originally a Springsteen song. And one more great vid featuring Todd and the band playing "Hoochie Coochie Man" with the blues legend Buddy Guy-- there is some serious guitar shredding by both guys in that vid, ha!

Please give a listen BHT&TM's song, Circle, for some of the most amazing, blues-rock guitar work and soulful vocals by BHT. Another of his best songs is "Broken-hearted Stranger"... and don't forget Boom Boom, performed at the same concert as Bittersweet.
