The kitchen nightmares uk version is also more like that, seems so much more natural, it's nice.

I love how 15 years later and the format hasn't really changed. This show is also one of my oldest Christmas traditions.

@@the_waterlemon5296 A 2021 one has been out for well over 2 days actually, tho I think it was a "big quiz of everything" variety, regardless as the original comment states the format is the same and it is. I still feel like they have degraded in quality and im not sure why, this one I just finished watching and it seemed way funnier than the 2020 and recent 2021 one, tho it might be just me. There were a couple brilliant ones around early to mid 2010s.

@@Gunman610 its a lot about editing, before editing the show is multiple hours long. They then make it more compact to fit the tv schedule. It also matters who the other guests are, people have better chemistry with some than others. :P

Which was a great choice. The celebrities contribute very little. The only decent one in this episode was Sharon, who has a bit of a Noel Fielding/Russel Brand vibe.

I liked the way they used to have it, because with them all / mostly all being comedians, they end up often having way fewer funny people on it, due to at least half of them being horrible and unfunny, bringing down the quality of entertainment, as they compete for attention with their unfunny quips and horrible personalities etc. It makes it hard to watch sometimes, which sucks because this used to be one of my favourite shows and I really looked forward to it properly. But the last few years have been pants, compared to what it was.

Jimmy hasn't aged since! Rob has aged the most out of all of them. Love Rob. He's tiny but he's also a huge comedic genius.

Gordon acts as if Marco Pierre White is standing off-screen with a pasta machine waiting to make some ravioli

Holy shit, your internet must be 200 gigs per second to have uploaded so many Big Fat Quiz's so quickly, Takes me like 6 hours to upload 10 minutes of video.

It still boggles my mind that they had the opportunity to sit David Mitchell and Gordon Ramsay together and they just didn't.

Jimmy Carr Benjamin Buttoned so much since then.

I really love that they could get Gordon Ramsay on something like this! He´s a really sharp and witty person as far as I can tell, but it seems some of the other contestants, mainly the well seasoned (OLD :) Jonathan Ross rides all over him, you can tell Gordon doesn´t like that. But he keeps together, and he plays the game perfectly in the end. After all, this is all for show, but I imagine, at the time, Gordon was juggling quite an amount of new businesses and business plans - and quite frankly, this kind of banter could easily put me off in that situation. Gordon handled it like a true champ!

I can't believe none of them mocked how wildly fake that hypnotist arcade trick was. Just how gullible were people in 2005? My feeling is the internet hadn't quite done it's magic by that point, and people were a lot less cynical and distrusting of media than they were even 5 or 6 years later.

People then were living lives in realtime and gullibility re: media, who still felt bound by truth, even if they didn't want to be, is nothing to the mass gullibility re: media manipulations, spying & political trickery online today. Modern people even carry listening devices (cell phones) everywhere they go, and install them (Siri) in their homes for conglomerates to spy on them and think they're exercising free will. It's fucking madness.

Thanks for all these. Been in a funk lately and putting on funny people making each other laugh makes me feel better.

Thank you for uploading these, its the only thing keeping me sane during the whole pandemic. To put it more in perspective, i live in america.

When they are applauding David Tennant as he's leaving, I think I can hear Rob ask Gordon if he watches Doctor Who. Sounds like Gordon says either "never seen it" or "not a fan." These two responses are soooo different though.

Looks at watch... Go on then might as well.
