the short hair really suits you! I just did the big chop myself and my hair is so much healthier and looks better than it ever has

I absolutely LOVE it 😍 I miss this length sooooo much it’s just perfect

I've got perms and it ruined my curl pattern and I thought I would have to cut my hair but every two weeks I do the rice water treatment leave it in for abt ah hour den wash it out and regularly wash my hair, then I mix castor oil with my conditioner. My curls are coming back so nicely ! I've been transitioning for abt 9 months you guys should try this method if you want ur curls back and is scared to cut your hair !!

Be cautious with rice water if you are low prosperity or protein sensitive . I overdid it and fermented the rice water too long AND used it too often and my long hair literally broke tf off it was literally chewed up so bad 😫. It was going so well and growing my hair even longer and then I overdid it. I’m also protein sensitive so just be cautious. I was using it every wash day(every week). My mom, an ex beautician now nurse told me i should have been using it every 6 months. Know your hair and pay attention.

My mom permed my hair when I was 10 my hair was all the way to my butt, and soon as she permed it my hair literally was shoulder length I was so hurt but at the age of 13 I started to care about my natural hair a little but not as much as I am now all I did was blow dry it and put it in a puff which was not good my curls were not messed up Bc I grew out of the perm and now I’m taking really good care of my hair I stopped using heat on my hair to stretch my hair I do the rubber band method and I deep condition once a week I am now 17 and my hair is past my shoulders I’m so proud of myself and it feels great to know that I actually achieved something with my natural hair 🥳😁

I just did this about 2 weeks ago never felt better the only down fall is you cant style it much but i think in the long run when it starts to grow it will be better and you can style it more lol

Update: My hair lady told me I didn’t have to do the big chop. My hair is natural already and it’s type 3. I’m no longer using flat irons in my hair. I’ve never experience heat damage. But I wanna focus on my natural hair. It’s in twists at the moment😊

I already big chopped in 2017 I don’t know why I’m scared to do it again but I need a big chop because I believe I got some heat damage , my hair is still curly but it’s more loose . I don’t know if it’s heat damage or is it because my hair has gotten longer and my curl is weighing down
