My chocolate Clown project started when I did a trade for the first visual Chocolate Clowns with this hobby guy Rob in Denver on facebook. Really appreciate the work that good hobby breeders do!

    Ohhhh myyy!!! Craziest thing is that I mentioned that "possibility" about 3 years ago. Spotnose is weird for sure, I've got some other "possible" Spotnose gene combos that act really strange. However, my clutch numbers aren't anywhere near yours, so I can't publicly say anything. Thank you for confirming and SHARING your clutches!

    Gosh I sure do LOVE those Dark Knights one of the best looking Ball Pythons to date Justin !! :) I've always been crazy about the deep dark colors in all species of snakes but especially the Ball Pythons. Great information for others breeders to take into consideration and cool of you to share these results with others !! :)

    Great discovery! When I heard the first clutch and tony said "at least no normal clowns" I started doubting are chocolate and spotnose allelic genes... That also explains why sn and chocolate change clown so much, it is double homozygous animal right there.

    I actually kinda suspected something like this because sable has a similar head wobble to Spotnose and such. And of course sable and chocolate are allelic too. It was just a hunch tho so it's super interesting that it was true!

    @Ball Gazer I don't actually think that chocolate and spider are allelic. I think that the wobble morphs are separated into two or more complexes that happen to have wobbling in common. Of course there is a lot more research and breeding trials needed to gain the full picture.
