    Can’t believe Eden actually succeeding. I remember the video wranglerstar put out showing this crazy project his neighbor was doing. Then he made his own channel and completely revamped his entire strategy. Now he finally has something viable. So awesome to see his success considering he left his stable well paying engineering job and basically gambled everything he had in this.

But it shows more and more people are doing their homework to find out who is building the best bunkers. Sadly some people go with "the cheapest guy" instead of the honest and better builder.

    Very impressive. Two thumbs up from a mechanical engineer. Looks to be bomb proof lol and that was cool the crane operator was able to tell you that it’s 7000 pounds. Your garden is a bit bigger than the one I have that looks very similar. Have aero garden with a lot of basil and a few small plants that I’ve grown from cuttings. It’s very convenient a lot easier to take care of than the custom gross systems I built 20 years ago. This one’s smaller, but uses new lighting technology that we didn’t have a few decades ago. Use it a lot less electricity than the high-intensity discharge lights I used in the past. Thanks for sharing another great build. I always enjoy your dialogue to go along with it. In Germany there are dozens of regulations just for concrete foundations and pressure resistance. What kind of security considerations are being taken for the escape hatch. It seems that the Gun room can be entered through the escape hatch with less security. Thanks!

    You don't have to bury them below grade, you can bury them above grade if you have to, then the door is at ground level. Same idea as the ancient Celtic burial mounds in the UK. A safe room built into or attached to your house might be cheaper though

    These structures are made sides wrong way. To make inside look smooth and easing the construction process. Yet totally unacceptable. even with the reiforced concrete all around. Because blast is throwing sheets inside. beams would take that ouside pressure if they are inside, now just welding is holding the sheets. You would then just need to put plywood ( or something else ) inside and can even bring wires and pipes under it + sound isolation ( beam is not weakening if hole is drilled in the middle. ) Not much harder to do otherway around when you do walls separately .

  • @michiganengineer8621

    @michiganengineer8621

    There is an escape tunnel/hatch a short distance to one side. It _looks_ like it would be slightly outside the heavy debris area if a tornado hit the house dead on. Also remember, in this case at least, the HOUSE is built (at least the walls) using ICF's. So the house is essentially a tornado shelter in it's own right as long as you stay away from windows and doors.
