I covered a very eraly Alpha demo of Big Boy Boxing a couple of years ago, but the latest build is much improved, with four very odd boxers to battle. It's a pretty tough game and you can only take 3 hits per match, so you really need to learn each boxer's tells to beat them!

NGL but for the water weight guy it feels weird for him not to have a second form tbh. Maybe spewing out a bunch of the water and getting extremely toned a lot faster then before, going from Titantic 5000 to Titan 200

I think Titanic 5000 is kinda his second form anyway. In the full game you'll have a fight with him as a slightly slimmer Titanic 3500 before the Titanic 5000 fight. I really like the idea of you being able to punch him slimmer though!

@@AlphaBetaGamer that's a good idea. But it will make the battle harder. I was thinking about outros for each characters. For titanic 5000, i imagine him being punched in the gut by the protagonist and spill the water out like a waterfall. he will be angry at first because he wants to be the champion of waterweight, but he will thanks the protagonist for making him feel better (because he really didn't look so good when you were fighting him).

The Mr.Adyltmen fight was quite creative. Each kid that you knock out of the disguise will result in a new attack that you have to be on the look out or take damage.

An easy way to beat Adyltmen is to just rely on critical hits and power attacks. Since the amount of kids that pop out depends on the amount of punches landed, rather than the damage taken, you can beat him without popping out any kids.

@@kauedasilva1072 Only hit him when his belly flasher or with power attacks (called Thunder attacks, I think), to fulfill this goal. Never use regular punches. Strangely, it's a ctully easier to do this way than the normal way.

Ice cold killer - Strangely easy compared to the rest of the fights. Mr Adyltmen - Huge difficulty spike. So much is going on. You need to keep your eyes everywhere Coach Skank - Fast, insane and very hard to predict. Takes a lot of hits to defeat. Titanic 5000 - His very strange animations make him hard to predict and his belly flop attack always catches me offguard. I really hope this wasn't just the minor circuit. The fact that my instinct tells me to dodge in the opposite direction of the punches, while you actually have to dodge into the direction of the punches didn't help me.

the coloring's all over the place which means that they've probably not decided the circuits yet, i'm assuming these are just the 4 they had done as of the time of the demo's release and they'll be put way later in the game considering it wouldn't make sense for them to keep it in the minor circuit considering how easy freezy boy is compared to the others

YEEEHAAAW!!! I FINALLY BEAT TITANIC 5000 Insteda of focusing in which direction he spins, you need to focus where he moves while spinning. Head punches are signifficantly more effective than gut punches, so always try to go for the head.

@@zkosmith1662 Admidmittedly after learning their patterns, they aren't that hard anymore. So I think I could actually beat the game even if they were just the minor circuit. Titanic was brutal for the first like ~50 tries, but I can now consistently beat him.

I like how, for a brief moment, he was known as "Titanic 3500" before drinking the swimming pool

He wears a helmet to protect him from big punches (it's a soft helmet made for boxers. But does that count as a forbidden choice ?).

@@eliottdeletraz97 well, the headgear acts as a cushion for the face, the most easily punchable part of the body (which is obvious in hindsight), and the only way for it to be legal is for another person to wear headgear as well. When both have headgear, everything is up to board, but when one is and another isn't, it's illegal because one has a clear advantage.

yeah cuphead and punch out consist mainly and purely of boss fights respectively. quite hard to make a combat system good enough that all a player wants to do is fight bosses.

I love how almost all of titanic 5000’s moves are form the momentum of you hitting him

An interesting fact that I learned about titanic, he always seems to do his moves in the same order: 2 high attacks and 1 jab combo, then repeat. Knowing this makes the fight a lot easier. His first attack seems to be random though.

i love the music of the 2 first battle. The transition between freezy boy and ice cold killer is making the feeling of the power growing and menace arriving. the theme of mr.adyltmen is pretty comic and circus like. And i love it because it fit to the goofy and rascal vibe of the character (i mean, they are literally kids making the classic adult disguise).

Titanic 5000s theme goes hard

I love how out of all the characters who has the ability to absolutely combo your ass if you arent vigilant Its the morbidly obese man who is literally hitting you on accident

From what I've seen here, the game has really good potential. Very smooth animations, "charming" character designs and banger music (seriously the Coach Skank OST is really sick). But I think the difficulty could be a bit higher. I know that perhaps this isn't supposed to be a mere Punch-Out clone, I guess, but something like a stamina bar or something similar would really help. Aside from the occasional dodging you seem to be able to just spam your punches which doesn't really gets more punished except for punching during the opponent's attack. Other than that, I'm really excited what the game will bring in the future

in the trailer, it set up that you gain competences when you defeat your opponnent and some of them will have quick attacks and some of them will grab you and you have to get free before losing a heart. (so sorry if i spoiled something).

ok, but on that note about the OST, can we talk about how they gave probably the best song to a character named fricking *Coach Skank?*

i really like the chaos of the Mr Adyltmen, plus the background music really adds to the theme of a buncha kids causing a ruckus plus the wobbly animations are super pleasing

I absoloutely love the animation. I like the Dancy recoveries they make, so fluent and almost bouncy! Love it!

I think they should make the stun time on bosses way shorter because it just seems like you can dodge one hit and wale on them for half their health

Hi! According to the dev's Steam page it's inspired by "classic Punch Out and indie hit Cuphead". I'd say it's the high-stakes boss-rush combat (you can only take 3 hits per match), the counter-attack system and the cartoon quality hand animated pixel art visual style that's inspired by Cuphead.

Freezy Boy's helmet keeps his true power under control.

This game looks pretty cool. Art style looks like it came from the 90s, sprite animation reminds me of both Cuphead and the PS1 Hercules game, and to make it more interesting is that I think it's rare to see a game inspired from Punch-Out.

8:37 lol marshmallow stealer, looks like its enother goofy gremlin for alpha beta gamer to handle, with the good old 12 gauge

My first thought of the second fight was: Who influenced these kids to get into an adult sport event, and tricking a bouncer in the process to cheat their way to victory against a rookie? Third fight: Coach Skank deserved to get knocked out for snatching Hank’s stuff… Final Fight: There’s a difference between hydration and I’ve-hydration just to tower a rookie!

This game seems to have lots going for it, it seems like a quick 20 minute romp! My hope for the future is that characters becone more fleshed out. The cast seems really interesting and unique! Alongside that, giving the punches more weight.

I love how the first feller goes from being Glass Joe to Tempered Glass Joe.

This game seems hes got potential to be a great game

Would be nice if titanic actually had an attack where he spits water at you and when he does, he becomes smaller and lighter to punch you faster and dodge quicker (and his name would change to match)
