The Eagles were born there in big bear so they are used to the weather..

It's interesting to watch the dynamics. When Shadow arrives at the nest he is expecting a turn incubating. If Jackie is not ready to leave sometimes he places a stick on her back or steps on her. Often she accepts this little nudge and lets him have a turn, but not always.

I hope I am wrong, but it looks like we have three dud eggs.

Jackie and Shadow are part of my family. I've been watching for a long time. If the eggs were going to hatch I would be happy. There's a chance the snow and cold had something to do with the eggs not hatching. Fingers crossed for the next season of eggs. Prayers for the Eaglets that never came to fruition.

I'm curious that when the ravens come to the feeder if the eggs will be liquid or have embryos in them?

I have been on an PIP for weeks I'm going to be so sad if I don't see any eaglets. I hope that we get to keep on watching them though.

I'm watching other eagle cams, where the eaglets have hatched. So sad for Shadow and Jackie. Maybe they're just too high? 145 feet is HIGH! The temperatures do not seem to be in their favor. I know they were successful in 2019. I would like to see them relocate, but I know they won't. 😢

Yeah, they're success rate is really low. 16 eggs laid over 6 years have only produced 3 eaglets.

😢me too..they worked so hard keeping the eggs warm...

So their eggs haven’t hatched in 2 years..could it be they are being able to fertilize those eggs. Just a thought. So sad

Eggs are all now beyond hatch stage so they will not hatch.

Well, during the last 2 storms, they left their eggs unattended both times ( and that's only what I observed) for 10 minutes... In the snow . That's too much I think..I had googled it at that time and it said they usually can only leave them safely for a few minutes when it's that cold... So it's odd that they did that... Especially considering they are very diligent this past week in not leaving the eggs unattended... Hmm

He is right, there are a pair of bald eagles here...and we believe that there was no hatchlings this year as well...i saw a couple of Crow's in the nest the other day...😥😥
