That shot at 1:58, that is exactly where you never, ever, _EVER_ want to be while next to a spinning propeller. You are right in line with its plane of rotation. If anything on that prop fails it's going to go right thru you. Airplane Safety 101.

And what are the chances of that? Low enough that the FAA certifies aircraft to put SEATS in that plane. I mean, why leave the house for Gods sake!! Drive a car? Are you nuts? Never, ever EVER do that.
I remember seeing a guy walk in front of a jet prepping for take off. He got sucked in the intake like a rag doll. I don't take engines lightly as a hobbyist so best believe I wouldn't take standing in front of a air slicer granted. Like I always say, you can become an engineer but it doesn't mean that you're actually smart. Stop standing in front of these things because engines can run away and go full throttle at times even if you think you have the full control or "expertise" around them.

I mean, if you are running the engine on idle, you CAN walk around 3-5m forwards of it. However, the EASA AR’s requires a minimum of a 5m half circle before / to the side of the fan (CFM-56-7 series)

Garrett TPE331 turboprop engine used in Merlins was one of very best I ever operated without one single engine failure in thousands of flight hours. Incredible Bullet-proof power-plant with instant response.

The 331 was a horrible engine when it first came our. In Asia we had many engine failures mainly due to fuel control issues.

I work in a factory that makes compressor blades and vanes for the jet engine at the end. My job is called gauging and what I do is make sure the blade or vane is set at the right dimension that the customer asks for. Rolls Royce and General Electric are the main two customers we have.

I used to fly small prop planes and walking next to a propeller like that was probably the first thing you were told to NEVER do.
That last one looked like JFK Airport though it's amazing at how quite these engines got over the years as kid growing up in the 1980's to now they are almost whisper quite with maybe a couple of older jets flying over my house and being alive to hear the mighty Concorde my god you could hear it before you saw it what a time to be alive someday I hope the world will be ready for an SST again

Aviation is my favorite part of being a man. From a $30 drone to the Saturn V, human flight is what I love most. Nothing more satisfying than a good woman after a successful flight. Except maybe good Rib Eye and a glass of a good Scotch. And a good nights sleep. So, a good flight, a good meal, some good whiskey, a good woman and good sleep. That's my favorite part of being a man. And then, doing it again, the next day.
