Big Abandoned Barn With A Strange Past
Ойын-сауық
Another road side find is coming your way. When i filmed this location, i had no idea the past history that was connected to it. What seemed to be an abandoned barn with furniture inside, turned out to be much more. Unfortunately i wasn't able to find out the date that this property became abandoned, but it looks like it hasn't been used in decades. Enjoy
Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations can be dangerous. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

If you put peppermint oil on the nape of your neck it helps immensely with headaches so I think this guy had a leg up with his tea also it helps with swelling and joint pain. The FDA also ran people out of business who were curing cancer naturally and even the Head of the FDA quit his job and took his wife to one man ( can’t think of his name off the top of my head) when she became sick with cancer and she was cured. My grandmother had to go to Mexico to get treatment for cancer because our treatments in America are poisonous and they care only about making money and they could give two shits about actually curing people.

@@janedoe9421 The money to the big pharmaceutical is all they really care about. To much money in treating people then having a cure. It is shameful for the American people to go thru this so big companies can get richer.
Hi, Hereford cattle originate in a town called Hereford in a county called Herefordshire in the UK. My Grandfather used to raise Hereford cattle way back in the 1940's at his farm in Herefordshire. xx
Greetings from the Lehigh Valley! So glad I found your channel! Thank you for sharing the history of these locations! Thoroughly enjoy your videos!

This was great! All I kept thinking through the whole video is how awesome it would be if it was fixed into a house! Ooh it’d be beautiful!

I'd love to live in a big space like that.
The gutters were for Holstein dairy cows. The cows pooped into gutter when being milked. The barn is similar to my dads dairy barn. The top was a hay loft. Looks like they used it for a house/ play area. As children we always played in the haymow/ loft. Brought back memories!

I love discovering the past about these locations.
I love old barns! The "troughs" in the floor - the one in front on the stanchions was where the cattle would be fed hay or grain while being milked. The squared off trough is where the cows poop would be washed into with a hose and washed away in order to keep the milking parlor clean. That looks like old silage in the silo - food for cattle. I love the stairs into the haymow. Usually there was only a ladder fixed to the wall to climb up. Old file box or 78 record box.
I truly enjoyed this video, Jay! Felt like a history lesson as well as your adventure. I know Hereford cattle are a UK breed of cow, Hereford is not too far away from me. This guy sounded like he knew a thing or two about non-processed foods and natural healing etc. Years ahead of us now! Thanks for an awesome video! x
The trough you said was for food or water is where the cattle would be fed while in the stantions. The pipe that was at the end would feed water to cups mounted on the stantions that the cattle would push a lever with their nose to release the water and drink. The gutter on the other side was for poop and pee while they were in the stantions. Either were cleaned by hand or with and auto barn cleaner.

I grew up on a dairy farm and had to help shovel the sh*t into those gutters after the cows were let out to graze after morning milking. Oh so fun LOL.

I'm pretty sure that it's spelled "STANCHIONS". My Father has subscribed to the Wisconsin Farmer's association newspaper for 30 years, and they often had ads for 'stanchions for sale'. Just so you know.

The furniture you find in some of these places is beautiful. Hard to believe that no one wanted it.
Sad to think of the man hours it took to build this barn, now ruined from neglect. All it would have taken would some minor maintenance......
Hi JP🖐️ And friend.please be careful and safe as usual. It seems to be A big Barn. The silo is huge. The place is overly creepy! It seems like I've seen this one before, there's Too many comments to scroll through. 🤔🤷
Deb from Idaho~~~~~~Your area of the country is so green and lush, even if it is overgrown!!!! Love going through these older videos, they are so good and fun to watch. I appreciate all of your hard work!
the roof structure of this building is artwork. so beautiful.
The ground troughs are wash outs from hosing down the stalls and milking platform.
I love old barns no matter if the have history are not .Love this one thank you for sharing this.
What an amazing find!! Old furniture, old buildings, just loved it all. Thanks for taking us along.
Beautifully situated place with an interesting past. Thank you JP
Very interesting history on this place good work on research of this place your videos are always gripping you rock.
When I was little I used to go to the cow barn with my dad. I used to watch the cows follow each other to the barn and even step into harness to be milked. I thought everybody had farmland and animals cause we did. Funny little things I thought when little. lol
It was definitely a dairy barn operations at one time. The troughs in the floor was for the feces abs stuff to be washed out.
I love your voice. Just thought of who your voice reminds me of....Liam Neesin. Thanks for sharing.

That area for water is for the cows. When they pee and poop. The farmer also scrapes any that doesn't make it in there. It's an entire system that does get washed away from the barn to the outside. It's actually ingenious and keeps waste away from the cows as best as possible.
Nice video, plus love the way you researched and pass the info on. Not many do that. This is much more interesting.

A recent viewer asked if in your explores you are ever bitten by ticks. Abandon places like this had me thinking the same thing..... I had my first experience with the devils about 20 years ago .We explored an abandoned 100 yr. old barn on a friend's property. Saw a "pie safe " and treadle sewing machine etc. among old tools and machinery . Had a great time. Later, an inflamed "itchy " bite developed on my leg. Went to the doctor and told him I may have a Lymes Tic bite. Impatiently he asked " What makes you think that ? " I anwered , " Well, my sister says it looks like one." He snarkily asked ,"Who's your sister ?" I answered , " Well, she's an Analytical Chemist at Bio-labs in Atlanta...... He ordered the blood test and started me on antibiotics ( it was Lymes .) ........ Be on the look out for that hateful red target , start antibiotic within 2 wks. and stay safe ! You have a lot more places to explore : )
That place is neat. Very cool location. The outtakes were cool too.
Well for not knowing much about barns you guessed pretty good. A Silo was used for grain storage and the top of the barn was where hay was kept. To keep it out of the weather for use mostly in the winter for the cows. Nice video. I'll watch for the one you were headed for when you found this barn.

Inside the barn the cows would go to bathroom in the rear gutter usually had chain driven paddle to clean it out into a manure spreader. The front gutter was for feeding the cows ground feed or hay.

Great work you did recording
Great video.
The inside of the dairy barn reminds me of our families' barn back in the late ' 50's early ' 60's . Daddy's dairy barn was smaller but he processed and delivered the fresh milk to local homes, businesses and schools. I can still see the cows grazing in green pastures. The video brought back sweet memories... Enjoyed the tour thru another great video .
Great find again! Very old and cool looking barn. Also, I does look like people have been threw there looking for valuables but at least vandles haven't spray painted the place up yet.

Fascinating find. The stalls are limited for a dairy farm but it's interesting nevertheless. Seems he was early to produce organic type milk.
If someone had a few houndred thousand dollars to invest that property could be restored, and some of that furniture could be restored as well. Old builds are the best versus new builds. Think about it, there are old structures built one houndred plus years ago, still standing. Man your channel ROCKS!!!
Very interesting! 👍🏻😋
that was an old dairy barn, believe me i know because my sister lives at an old dairy barn & it is built the same way! ty for the video
That is the name of a breed of cattle & the cows gave wonderful ,rich milk The 1 we milked was 1 half jersey & gurney . Both gave the best . So we had the best.
A magnificent barn. In Minnesota, there’s a lot happening with re-purposing of old historic barns. They are being fixed up and used as ‘rural wedding event centers’. The one you visited would be beautiful in that role. These places stand as great sentinels of our country’s farming history and I hate to see them fall into such disrepair. Thanks for sharing.
Haha like the blooper at the end.
Old dairy barns have troughs so the cows could eat while being milked. Before milking the floors would be cleaned/sanitized and after milking cleaned and sanitized. The government basically put the small dairy farms out of business so they could take over.
😬😬😬interesting!
The trough down the middle was used to wash the cow pooh out of the barn when they would usually use a hose to clean the stalls .The big round silo was for silage to feed the cattle .
Thanks !
great video and background
That barn!! The upstairs looked like ribs (ceiling) How did they construct that? 😳 Enjoyed! 👍
I would totally live there!!!!
