Big Abandoned Barn With A Strange Past

Ойын-сауық

Another road side find is coming your way. When i filmed this location, i had no idea the past history that was connected to it. What seemed to be an abandoned barn with furniture inside, turned out to be much more. Unfortunately i wasn't able to find out the date that this property became abandoned, but it looks like it hasn't been used in decades. Enjoy
Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations can be dangerous. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

If you put peppermint oil on the nape of your neck it helps immensely with headaches so I think this guy had a leg up with his tea also it helps with swelling and joint pain. The FDA also ran people out of business who were curing cancer naturally and even the Head of the FDA quit his job and took his wife to one man ( can’t think of his name off the top of my head) when she became sick with cancer and she was cured. My grandmother had to go to Mexico to get treatment for cancer because our treatments in America are poisonous and they care only about making money and they could give two shits about actually curing people.

@@janedoe9421 The money to the big pharmaceutical is all they really care about. To much money in treating people then having a cure. It is shameful for the American people to go thru this so big companies can get richer.

Hi, Hereford cattle originate in a town called Hereford in a county called Herefordshire in the UK. My Grandfather used to raise Hereford cattle way back in the 1940's at his farm in Herefordshire. xx

The gutters were for Holstein dairy cows. The cows pooped into gutter when being milked. The barn is similar to my dads dairy barn. The top was a hay loft. Looks like they used it for a house/ play area. As children we always played in the haymow/ loft. Brought back memories!

I love old barns! The "troughs" in the floor - the one in front on the stanchions was where the cattle would be fed hay or grain while being milked. The squared off trough is where the cows poop would be washed into with a hose and washed away in order to keep the milking parlor clean. That looks like old silage in the silo - food for cattle. I love the stairs into the haymow. Usually there was only a ladder fixed to the wall to climb up. Old file box or 78 record box.

I truly enjoyed this video, Jay! Felt like a history lesson as well as your adventure. I know Hereford cattle are a UK breed of cow, Hereford is not too far away from me. This guy sounded like he knew a thing or two about non-processed foods and natural healing etc. Years ahead of us now! Thanks for an awesome video! x

The trough you said was for food or water is where the cattle would be fed while in the stantions. The pipe that was at the end would feed water to cups mounted on the stantions that the cattle would push a lever with their nose to release the water and drink. The gutter on the other side was for poop and pee while they were in the stantions. Either were cleaned by hand or with and auto barn cleaner.

That area for water is for the cows. When they pee and poop. The farmer also scrapes any that doesn't make it in there. It's an entire system that does get washed away from the barn to the outside. It's actually ingenious and keeps waste away from the cows as best as possible.

A recent viewer asked if in your explores you are ever bitten by ticks. Abandon places like this had me thinking the same thing..... I had my first experience with the devils about 20 years ago .We explored an abandoned 100 yr. old barn on a friend's property. Saw a "pie safe " and treadle sewing machine etc. among old tools and machinery . Had a great time. Later, an inflamed "itchy " bite developed on my leg. Went to the doctor and told him I may have a Lymes Tic bite. Impatiently he asked " What makes you think that ? " I anwered , " Well, my sister says it looks like one." He snarkily asked ,"Who's your sister ?" I answered , " Well, she's an Analytical Chemist at Bio-labs in Atlanta...... He ordered the blood test and started me on antibiotics ( it was Lymes .) ........ Be on the look out for that hateful red target , start antibiotic within 2 wks. and stay safe ! You have a lot more places to explore : )

A magnificent barn. In Minnesota, there’s a lot happening with re-purposing of old historic barns. They are being fixed up and used as ‘rural wedding event centers’. The one you visited would be beautiful in that role. These places stand as great sentinels of our country’s farming history and I hate to see them fall into such disrepair. Thanks for sharing.

Old dairy barns have troughs so the cows could eat while being milked. Before milking the floors would be cleaned/sanitized and after milking cleaned and sanitized. The government basically put the small dairy farms out of business so they could take over.

The trough down the middle was used to wash the cow pooh out of the barn when they would usually use a hose to clean the stalls .The big round silo was for silage to feed the cattle .

He was probably a holistic doctor. They are not recognized by Medicare or Medicaid, but they are the best doctors. They know about holistic medicine, no drugs, no side effects, just healing with Nature's gifts.

The best kind of "dr" in my book. Clinical Drs don't listen to you, they don't try to find the reasons they just write out a script and smile because if the kickback they will recieve.
