Bifrǫst
In this poem Grímnir (Odin in disguise) provides the young Agnarr with cosmic knowledge, including the notion that Bilröst is the best of bridges.
Bifrǫst is watched over by the god Heimdallr, ready to warn the gods of the coming of Ragnarǫk, the end of the world. Then the bridge will collapse, when the Múspellsmegir will ride over it to reach the sky.
In ancient Norse legends it is described as unstable, wavy and luminous and has three colors: green, red and blue. This is a clear reference to the Northern Lights.
