Nothing to do with Femi yeah😅. He's a star. Let that be a lesson to you Novara. You're fast becoming the home of most leftist. But we are watching yous.
Allowing a certified right wing anti workers union mp into the Labour party. Is an admission from Starmer that his Labour Party is a right wing racist Party.
Thank you Femi for not forgetting what has lead us here, Including Novara Medias part in it. and not accepting the charade of the mainstream media doing a "good job" at being fair. Best Guest on the Israeli genocide topic so far

Michael is pretty openly social democrat. I don't mind, it normally adds nuance to debates and his positions or provocations become useful counterpoints. Aaron I would say is more all over the shop. At his heart a leftie but frankly still has this desire for mainstream/centrist recognition, so he is always willing to try putting on a hat or two that says, "you know what, I'm on the left, and even I think the right has a point on _this_". It has mixed success, I would say.
I have learnt so much more about the world we live in this last 7 months than I have in the last 44 years. Shame on you US/UK. Justice for Palestine.

Sad to see Michael not understanding the difference between cheering for the escape of gaza and cheering for murder…I surely can, as I am able to empathize with those people incarcerated…and why wouldn’t they show that pride amidst the horrors, which were retribution after all…I say follow Norman Finkelstein and what he says of the massacre on white slave owners and their kin when they finally escaped subjugation
Just need to pick you up @novara and Michael on the climate segment. You keep saying 30% of global ENERGY supply, where the graph and info shown clearly says ELECTRICITY supply. These are obviously different. Energy also includes petrol and diesel transport and also heating and potentially other industrial uses that use fossil fuels for heating directly (such as producing cement or fertilisers maybe?) So therefore the fact that 30% of global electricity is now renewable does not at all mean that 30% of global energy is renewable. I think I’m right. Anyone agree or disagree. Keep up the excellent work Novara. Thanku Free Palestine.
@TonydeSouza-cm6qs

Yes. You are 100% correct, and this is so often reported incorrectly. Truth is that if we were to electrify everything the electricity grid would fall over, therefore to meet net zero we all have reduce our energy usage.

Seems a complete contradiction for Starmer to call Labour the real centre party, whilst also the party that will bring about real change. Dumb*ss
Gotta love the "it's just political shenanigans in order to defeat the Tories" lines to justify this, when previously we've seen how, many of them did all they could to ensure the Labour party didn't win, when it had a left-wing, slightly socialist manifesto and leader.
Well done Femi. Hopefully see more of you on here

The Violence on Oct 7 was not wanton violence, as opposed to the Israeli attacks on Gaza. 39 children killed out of 1200 people and 320 women out of 1200 people shows a degree of restraint from Hamas compared the Israelis
@II-wk8kv

Michael in Yanis Varoufakis's book The Global Minotaur he shows how following WW2 the US supported and built up Germany and Japan and held others back, especially the UK. Germany and Japan remain occupied countries, as does the UK as there are many military bases in in each of these countries, just consider our Nuclear deterrent, the UK pays the US for our Nuclear weapons but we cannot deploy them without US approval, we have no idea what pressure the US puts on Germany and Japan for example the destruction of Nordstream 2 should have been considered an act of war, but wasn't even investigated, the only explanation of its destruction is that it was done by the US as Biden said he would as Condoleezza Rice said it must happen and Victoria Newland even confessed that they had done it, Europe would have to be stopped from getting cheap Energy from Russia, and so it happened and Germany stayed quiet.
Oh Michael, you must point out 30% of ELECTRIC energy. Not at all total energy. Critical for our climate crisis.
Natalie Elphick, oh dear, is that really the kind of person Starmer wants to attract to Labour?

Just Hamas, apparently, not any of the other resistance groups actively fighting the Israeli forces, not the PIJ, not the PFLP, not the breakaway element of Fatah. All have very different politics, weapons and tactics, but a common enemy. Yet all we ever hear about is Hamas, Hamas, Hamas. You can tell the reliability of information by whether or not it specifies which organisation was involved in an attack, including the occasional joint operations which have occurred. There haven't been many of those, but alliances are always significant.

Michael complaining there was some 'random' violence on October 7th therefore it can't be a part of a legitimate struggle. Not contextualising that singular day within 70+ years of Palestinian's not committing that kind of violence. Not recognising Palestinian's attempts at peaceful protest (met by Israeli sniper fire). The oppressed do not choose to fight. The oppressor forces them to fight. The oppressor CHOOSES to fight (often gleefully) and always achieves violence on a scale far greater than any oppressed people could ever manage. Do you think Palestinians ENJOY joining a near-doomed resistance fight? Or do you think they'd prefer to have normal jobs and normal lives? Do you think Palestinian's have the same dreams as you or do you think they want to be fighting Israel? Really awful contribution. He does this every time. Novara needs to get together and iron out a few things. Violence has been a part of every single fight against oppression throughout history. That doesn't mean violence needs to be celebrated. It doesn't mean everyone has to contribute to violence. But violence does need to be recognised as, if not inevitable, then consistently present in every example of the fight against oppression up until now.
