    Thanks a million. Had to modify my Polk PSW10 due to chuffing from a bad design plate placed on port inside. After fix it works great now as well. Considering getting one or two of these in the future as they're a fantastic value!

    John! You trying to give me a heart attack! I copied and pasted your title to amazon and nearly shit my pants. $824.00 dollars?? I've never spent more than 25 dollars on a speaker. EVER! LOL. DIY on that kind of money deserves a huge discount. I'd send this video to your retailer. Made in Asia for next to nothing. Sold in America for, YIKES!!!! God bless.

    Hey Ed. If you search Amazon for PL-200 II you should see it at $329, but it was $250 around the holidays, that's what I paid. My next sub is going to be a DIY setup, this was in my budget and is just to tide me over until I have budget for the DIY subs. However, this is a pretty nice piece. I think its supposed to be made in America from American and globally sourced components, so I'm sure its at least assembled in the USA. However, it looks like the guy who installs right-hand ports is going a bit light on the glue!

    I should mention, soon after I got it up and running the driver blew. I did get a replacement driver from BIC, took about 2 weeks but its back up and running good. There are better/louder subwoofers out there for sure, but this sub sounds great for the money. I paid $250 for it and its the best sub you will find in that price range. • @jevchance

    @jevchance

    5 жыл бұрын

    Hrmmm not sure. Once I got the screws out, mine was pretty much ready to fall out. If you're replacing the woofer anyway, you could cut the cone out with a razor blade so you can grab the speaker by the basket.

    If you are using PVC for ports you could try purchasing a 6" flared port. If you're already using flared ports, you could try removing them and covering them with a rubberized coating to try to decrease the vibrations. You'll want to use something smooth like plastidip to avoid causing any air turbulence.

  • @jevchance

    @jevchance

    5 жыл бұрын

    Well, they were loose and that was the problem, so all I needed to do was remove the driver and push them out from the inside. I didn't pull them all the way out, just enough to seal them and put them back. It should be safe to gently pound the back of the port towards you to get it to come out, if its missing the sealing glue then the only thing holding it in will be some compression.
