That low frequency rattling flattery noise is what my subs also do at low frequencies of around 10-20hz once it's bast that it starts to sound normal. I actually thought it was the rubber suspension making the noise as the cone moves

line the ports with self adhesive felt from the hobby store, you can also put a peice of nylon stocking over the inside of the port with a rubber band let me know how that works out for you it's worked for me in the past

Actually those ports are undersized. I should go for bigger ports for smooth air flow

@@Live_Loud so don't try something simple, just listen to the armchair experts, with thier computer programs and microphones, this is why America is in such trouble. engineers don't listen to the assembly workers, they stick to what they learned from a book

for SPL should we go for classic rectangular ports? or these circular aero ports? 30-40hz?

Both are good. For more loudness aero ports have more efficiency. L shaped slot ports are better for lows

To me it sounded worse with your flares I recommend trying them in a smaller sealed enclosure then you will able to play really low frequencies down to 17hz cleanly

Please watch next video I gave flares to same ports and now it's close to perfect. Box is tuned low though but it does the job well.
