Biblical Proof Found in Stunning Archaeological Finds: 'A Tsunami of Evidence'

A professor who's out with a book about fascinating archaeological finds that help bring the Bible to life said such discoveries keep corroborating what Christians know to be true about the Scriptures. Tom Meyer, known as "The Bible Memory Man" for his ability to memorize entire books of the Bible, is a professor at Shasta Bible College. And his latest book "Archaeology and the Bible: 50 Fascinating Finds That Bring the Bible to Life" offers key insights into biblical truth.
"We don't need archaeology to prove the Bible's true," Meyer recently told CBN News. "The Bible stands on its own. It's totally authoritative in all manners." But the author said he knows Christians face challenges when evangelizing and sharing their faith, particularly among those who don't believe the Scriptures hold any authority. "You know how it is if you're sharing your faith, or you're evangelizing," Meyer said. "If you tell someone, 'You need to believe the Bible because the Bible says it's true,' you're going to get some pushback."
That's why Meyer said it's helpful to have "different apologetics" that can be used to point to the Gospel, noting that archaeology keeps "revealing new information from the pages of the Bible." This study of the ancient past helps validate Scripture. "Bible archaeology has given us a tsunami of evidence that we already know - that all these people existed," he said. "I think 50 to 100 people [who are] mentioned in the Bible, that person's exact name - King David, Isaiah, the prophet, King Hezekiah, et cetera - we found their names and archaeological objects, which ... demonstrates the reliability and the accuracy of Scripture." Watch Meyer explain.

My dad knew the Bible forwards and backwards. He could quote scripture any scripture. You could describe something or say a word or two of that scripture, and he would know exactly where it was found in the Bible. That is definitely a gift from God. Today is 14 years since he’s been gone. It’s kind of funny that I found this video today. I miss him desperately. Thank you for this video. God bless.♥️

It's awesome to be able to do that! I have a friend who can do that too 😊 He is dyslexic and struggled with reading for years, but knows his Bible inside out. On the other hand, I'm really bad at even remembering the words of scripture, let alone the references 😔

I doubt it. Too much cherry picking and too much ignoring of massive amounts of evidence that dispute the bible, koran, torah etc etc. A tsunami of evidence is just a term oozing copium. There's no doubt about much of the history from around 2000 to 3000yrs ago, coz much of it was a matter of record by the Romans etc. It's all the other weird stuff that ppl take issue with. Just because one thing is true, doesn't mean the rest of it is factual. Though I am glsd that the Jews are stickin it to the Muslims about that temple.

We should use logic and reason to test every belief. The truth will stand. Also, why should anyone believe our faith if there is no evidence for it? From their perspective, how would our faith be any different from any other person saying that they know their faith is true because they believe it in their hearts. Of course we need archaeological evidence. The evidence is only part of it, though. Agreed we have to go beyond the evidence.

It's not just to satisfy human curiosity. That is a grave misunderstanding of the purpose behind biblical archeology. There are prophecies in the Psalms and Isaiah that connects God's Work with bible archaeology in the last days. It is not a coincidence that relics were recently found from the period where the Jews were taken into Babylonian slavery. The same thing is going to happen to Judah in the future, and for the same reason!

IMHO: This interview was very good in many ways. The thought occurred to me that in your discussion of the archeology finds confirming not only the existence of the characters and rulers of biblical times but also the historical evidence of the people, how they lived, and where they lived as these factors are intertwined together. Going on 78 yrs. of age for years I have had a keen interest in those archeology finds and what they implied or outright proof of what scripture tells us. I find that if I did not have that keen interest in this subject matter my walk with the Lord would be somewhat deficient. I enjoyed this interview very much because the 2 of you nicely synthesized the concrete archeological finds and what scripture states as having happened. God Bless!

Awesome!!! I remember when I found a really old Catholic family Bible at a yard sale for $2. It has a Biblical encyclopedia at the beginning that explains every book in the Bible, who they think wrote it and what was going on at the time. It was then when I realized that the Bible was truly history. After that, I couldn’t stop researching anything and everything ancient biblical history. Essenes,, all of the books not included in the Bible. Thomas, Mary Magdalene, Enoch,… I couldn’t get enough. I still love archaeology. The Pyramids. Zechariah Sitchin books. I love Graham Hancock’s books. I felt my mind opening. I read about the Bible codes. It all still fascinates me.

That's my qualm. I always read or hear about all these finds, but never seem to able to find a picture or anything of said artifact or evidence. Don't get me wrong, I'm not arguing that things in the Bible aren't real or able to be verified. But for one, the Vatican holds A LOT of artifacts that supposed,y, according to rumor, wouldn't help the case for Christianity, in their vaults. That's what interests me. To see what all they have down there that is so secret, and unable to be viewed. Not just to protect the integrity of the evidence, but you darn well that they have everything catalogue and identified

It's a good job you don't need the archaeology, because what he's talking about is meaningless , a pile of stone , brick etc taken from its original place without care or anyone recording the important information, lifted thrown into the back of trucks transported and dumped into a pit , along with any old stuff , and after years some people go digging up bits from the pit , it's all pointless it's out of context, its unstratified, its lost all archaeological relevance.
