More men must dance bharatanatyam. Healthy and harmonious bodies are so important. When in our Europe bharatanatyam will finally be so popular as it is in India?

Lord siva does not dance on stage in public performance . More over Lord Siva is a mythical character.

Neermalamuu To Bharatanatyam dancers, Shiva is the embodiment of our art. In particular, an art steeped in Hindu mythology, symbolism and history, which you need to brush up on, since you don't know even know that Shiva as Nataraja danced his Ananda Thandavam in public on the golden stage in Thillai Chidambaram, where it was witnessed by humans, sages, devas and asuras throughout the universe. An act of dance immortalised in the sculptures of the Thanjavur and Thiravarur temples of Tamil Nadu, where they inspired the dance of the Devadasis. Until you know something about the historical and cultural context of Bharatanatyam, your opinions about what constitutes an attractive or appropriate costume for male dancers are irrelevant.

Neermalamuu You will be surprised but being a Christian myself I respect Hinduism and I believe that Lord Shiva is a real personality, not a "mythical character", to me he is as real as my Lord Jesus Christ. great world religions don't just grow on some "mythical characters", just doesn't happen

Gleb Zhiglov I understand that u are coming from a very open-minded viewpoint, but most Indians do not share that belief. Shiva is a representation. As real as santa clause but as symbolic as the sound 'Aum'. One could say that he is mythical but we brought him to life through such beautiful art.
