The lyrics, the music, the expression in Aamir's eyes is what made the song so beautiful.

Did you know that most of the songs in the Indian movies are sung by playback singers and not by the actors themselves? This song is also sung by one such extremely talented singer "Sonu Nigam". Music is composed by another talented composer and music director named "Shantanu Moitra" and Lyrics is written by an awesome lyricist named "Swanand Kirkire". So you know the music has its own dedicated team and thus provides you something extraordinary apart from the visuals. Do notice that Indian Classical Music is very different from the Western counterpart.

PK is such an extraordinary movie..like Donathan even I had tears in my eyes watching this song.

Hats-off to the ages old Indian Raaga system and particular Raaga being used wisely by the Music Director for this song which was sung very beautifully by the singer and which caused a person on the other side of the globe who does not know the language but was melted by the emotions that were captured by this raaga !! That is the beauty of Indian Classical Hindustani music and music being Universal language !!

That's very pure and insightful of you and that's exactly what Sri Ramakrishna did.. tried out all kind of ways of devotion and came up with the conclusion "joto mot, toto poth"(Bengali) which means "as many faiths, that many paths"..it's just that people end up spending too much time in decorating those paths with sidewalks, streetlights, ice cream shops, rest-benches, etc.(a.k.a rituals n all) for their own benefit and end up getting distracted from the destination which the path leads to.

please watch Khamoshi, that film also has everything - brilliant dialogues, unexpected and serious proceedings. Bhansali's way of portraying relationships is very impressive. This film is filled with many great moments, many heart-breaking and many heart-warming sequences. It has romance, drama and even comedy, and most importantly, it has music. And what a music it is. Every song is pure magic and is effectively pictured on-screen. I personally find it beautiful, crafted, optimistic, entertaining and unforgettable. It is a real gem.

yes, it is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it is his directorial debut, for which he received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film. Salman also acted in here with other great actors. I hope you will also watch his other films -gems like: Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Bajirao Mastani, Padmavati

If I could, I would suggest you some movies from 1950s to early 1970s when some social theme based movies were also made. That period is often called Golden era of Bollywood. But I am not sure if you ll get those with subtitles. But I would surely suggest : do aankhein barah haath (2 hands and 12 hands). This is a black & white movie. but had won and nominated in prestigious international awards.
