Thank you for this - I was struggling to get this to work after watching the first video and realised I missed the routing-table=cust1 on the connection settings, and totally didn't know about the /routing/bgp/vpn/redistribute=bgp bit. One thing I eventually figured out is that if you don't want to advertise a default, you need to set output.redistribute=copy on the PE connection to the CE to get it to advertise the routes learned from the VPNv4. Thank you again, very well articulated!

hi, could you make next video with multihoming scenario, so CE connect to 2 PE's so CE can failover between two PE. Maybe with BGP prepend from CE to make one of PE became the prefered one then try to disconnect the prefered one and reconnect again, can the traffic back to the prefered one? i think mikrotik have bugs since v6 and not solved with v7 and they keep ignoring it.

I generally work with gns3 and have started trying eve-ng-pe , which seems to be working ,but I have started having some weird issues with my MikroTik nodes , All my interfaces show running and when I plug a device into say ether1 it comes up as ether2 and the NICs all seem to be incorrect. Any suggestions?

This is a known problem with v7 images and EVE-NG, the workaround is to change the NIC for the node from e1000 to e1000-82545em or i82559er (Needs to happen with first time creation of the node, can still be a problem if you are just updating an already live node to a new NIC). This is a problem that EVE/MikroTik needs to sort out but doubt they will so this workaround is our best way to lab at the moment when using EVE-NG and MikroTik.
