    Many thanks for this video! Since New Year I have been obsessed with learning to fly fish so I have been less on top of the BFS scene. I am, however, still very interested in BFS; so when this video popped up I checked it out and as a result recieved an Aroura Air today and just finished a quick test casting session with it. It is a very nice reel and outcasts my former best casting BFS reel (Seasir M 1) by about 5 feet using a 1 G. lure. I'll be taking it with me when I go trout fishing in North Carolina in 2 weeks and think it will be my choice with the lightest lures. Thanks again and congrats on growing the channel.

    Hey Jay! Fly fishing is definitely on my “to do” list as well but unfortunately don’t have the time to delve into bfs and learn to fly fish. I am cheering you on in your new endeavor though and am slightly jealous that you’re doing so! Haha =). Awesome to hear about your experience with the Aurora Air! When I first reviewed/unboxed that reel it was something like $70 and the unit I received had so many QC issues… this one, during the sale, was only $33 so I picked up a second. Mine still has a few issues so I’ll likely put out a video showing how to fix those problems as this reel has tons of potential. While I still prefer the cormorant, this reel is something like 1/8th the price lol. It’s a definitely a steal of a reel imho. Thank you so much for the kind words and support my friend! I hope you have an amazing trip in NC! Please drop by and give us an update on the trip! Cheers my friend!

I was kinda limited to using the current combo as more of a power BFS combo, and I just don't do power BFS very often. And the Handing Magic L isn't much of a power BFS rod anyway. • @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL

    @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL

    Ай бұрын

    Hey micro! I wrote this response to another person who requested I look at the giu99. I was actually looking at the giu99. However, a couple things are stopping me from reviewing it. The first is that there really isn’t much difference from the aurora air. The spool weight is 0.2g lighter, it has a silver paint job and the knobs are different but that’s about it. The bearings are also salt water resistant in the aurora air. So… imho the aurora air, with its new lower price of around $35usd, is the right choice to make over the giu99 imho. If the price of the giu99 drops to a more reasonable price I may review it but the differences are so little compared to the AA so it’s hard to justify a review just for it. Hope that helps explain why I haven’t picked one up for review! Thanks so much for the suggestion though and I will keep my eyes peeled for price drops. Cheers my friend!

    Hello I’m new to bfs I was dishing my hole life on regular casters. Now I want to move into bfs but start right away with a good setup. What are some recommendations regarding the best Ali express bait caster? What would be the best rod for that? • @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL

    Ай бұрын

    Hey Mr Kaplan! Thanks so much for watching and for the questions! Just to start off, I recommend getting the histar aurora air reel as it’s so cheap right now. That should be a very capable reel for the price and paired with the right rod can cask some extremely low weights, ie 0.56g. For rods, that depends on what length, lure weights, power rating etc. For this, I typically ask people what types of fish they’re chasing, what types of waters do you fish, what lure weights you’re looking to cast, and what your budget is. Let me know and I’d be more than happy to help you find something! Cheers my friend!

    @@BFSFISHINGCHANNEL the budget would be more a bang for the buck thing. I’m mainly fishing pike, bass, (light lures) Sometimes some small catfish +\- 10 - 40in (lures 2g-25g) Greatest thing would be if it’s also usable on sea for some seabass (lures 25-35g) but that is not mandatory just would be nice additional feature. Anyways main focus would be for fishes of 0 - 20 pounds 10-40in
