BFG KO2 45000 mile review
i noticed and it was pointed out that i referred to measurements as thousandths instead of 32nds.was an honest mistake,i had been using feeler gauges before the video.i should have referenced 32nds

    Great video and helped me out a bunch with my 3/4 ton! I've ran mud terrain for years and imo BFG's are the best tires in the world (mine lasted 90k miles 33" x 12.5" on 99' Tacoma 4x4 extended cab)

    YOu sound like a TENNESSEE driver!! ( me too.. ) I think part of yours is the load and driving use... I'm going to be running mine on just my GX470 (about 6000 weight with metal bumpers, winch- and extras).. but normal street driving mostly-and not very aggressive. I'll most likely do a LITTLE offroad stuff-- just fire roads, or rougher dirt roads and of course winter.. but not much- so with what you got- mine should do fine. THANKS- appreciate the totally honest and factual review..

    Thank you and thank you for your comment! I got 76k on the set in this video then hit a piece of concrete in the road and busted side wall on one. They had about 6/32nds on them so i bought second set. I put 79600 on those (was really hoping for 80k but they were at 4/32nds so i bought another set). They have 14383 miles and doing great. I think you'll be happy with yours. I plan on another set when these are worn out

    Good video. I feel the same on the noise. I just threw mine on. How you feel about the traction in the rain on the highway?

  • @CFarmer

    @CFarmer

    Thank you! They did really good but after they wear down quite a bit they still had good traction but in heavy rain they would act like they wanted to hydroplane but i expected that as the tread wore thin

    65psi front 75 in rear. In winter when it's cold out 80 in rear has been working for me

    @@CFarmer Thanks for the quick reply. I would have almost guessed you were running a good PSI by the great wear your getting. I have always been a fan of high air pressure in tires or to run close to what it says on the sidewall. A lot of people don't understand by running low pressure it creates heat and heat will cause premature wear. Thanks again.

  • @CFarmer

    That's it. I also think 65 in front and rotating every 5k changing the pressure up helps too

    Are yours the DT or 3PMS version? Either way, that’s impressive mileage.

    Well, I learned something today. When I bought them I was just looking for the E rating and m/s with the snowflake on them. I didn't know there were DT and 3PMS versions. I've looked at tires and receipt with no mention. Looks like I should have done more research. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. And catching the 32nds goof on my part, lol.

    C Farmer I think the “DT” (different tread) version is only in certain sizes for trucks like ours with more weight/torque. They have a more wear resistant tread compound for longer life over the three-peak-mountain-snowflake rated version which has a compound that stays more pliable in the cold, but doesn’t have the tread life warranty. It should say on the sidewall. I like the idea of increased snow performance as long as they don’t take a crap in 35,000-45,000mi.
