All the food that the shops are dumping, please donate it to food banks. A lot of people are starving. It's unacceptable that good stuff gets dumped.

The world?! No this is the UK. I appreciate your intentions, but people in other parts of the world are doing fine. What we can buy with the average salary has been going up here in China 🇨🇳. The basics are cheap, rent, rice, pork, cabbage, internet and so on. Frozen US made ready-meals have gone up in price. Any stuff from teh UK is now more expensive. What is your government doing to fix this mess?

Food prices increasing only 5%…I wish!! Much different in the US, much higher. Getting bad. Not criticizing UK at all, it’s just getting hard here, and I know different things (like electric/gas) are very different in cost. $7 US for a carton of eggs now. $5-6 for butter. $4-6 for gallon of milk. Thank you for everyone who works so hard, and cares, to help makes sure that people don’t go hungry.

As a Brit, I can tell you from experience our food costs are way, way higher than a 5% increase. Many foods have increased as much as 50% - some even higher, but the government still insists our inflation rate is 10-11%. Not in a million years!!

You have to shop for things on sale and know where the best prices are. When a sale is going on, buy several and freeze. When butter was on sale recently for $2.49, I bought 12 pounds. I have an Aldi in one town that has the better prices. Milk is always $1.57 a gallon. This week I got boneless chicken thighs for $1.99 a pound. Meijer has the same sale price for boneless chicken breasts. I live about 20 miles from any Aldi store or other bigger stores. Our drive through food pantry is very sparce. We don't go to it any more. Grandma Sue in central Indiana

I just watched an old movie, maybe a few decades old. Their standard fee of mowing lawn was $1.50. A small house for family of 3 was $795.00. How much is it now?!

And yet we subsidise a monarchy to live in the lap of luxury whilst the PM flies up and down the country because a train simply wont do.

At least the monarchy are not corrupt. They cost less than a £1 per family per year and generate ££££££££££££…do you really think a president would cost less? Look at the grandiosity of those presidents around the world…clearly they’re better figure heads than the royal family, with their vast entourages and their private jets.
