One thing that stood out for me in this podcast is Jack's realization on budget and rules of novels. As I was reading The Terminal List and getting towards the end, it hit me that writing books is only restricted by the author's imagination.
This is a great idea. I wish more would do this. Lots of us read many other series. I’ve read at least 20 books since the last Jack Carr book came out. I remember the highlights but that’s about it. Books are always better when you can remember and identify details and themes that are continued. Not having a refresher when you read the last novel 12 months and 20 books ago hurts. Thanks for doing this!
The way Katie was written and the absence of Hastings from the show was puzzling to me just in light of the rest of the series of books
Jack what started me off was Terminal List on Amazon . I liked the movie but i didn't think there were any books , then i investigated and there were 3 books i hadn't read yet and now i am hooked on your series of books and waiting for Terminal List season 2 on Amazon. Reading in the blood.
I love the series!! I have all 6 audio-books. Listening through them all again. Ray Porter is fantastic! And you Jack, are an amazingly talented author!! One question. Will there be a 7th book? I, and many more, certainly hope so!! May the good Lord continue to bless and keep you and your family!!

@@HarishBabuM book katie is blonde hair blue eyes, from Eastern Europe. Film Katie is Constance Wu…not those things. Now, don’t get me wrong, i still love the series and love Constance wu, she’s beautiful in her own right and a very good actor, i was just hoping for more translation from book to film. But this goes for a lot of things that weren’t translated from book to film, not just the actor who plays Katie.

@@HarishBabuM regarding Katie? Not that i remember, but i was just going based off appearances. Regarding comparing the series altogether and the book, it tells the same story but there’s things in different places and added characters in the series that weren’t in the books. Overall i still give it a 9/10, I’ve watched the series two or three times already and have stormed through the books. Best overall series and books to me.

Chapter one everyone is dead Chapter 2 kill more people 😂 Chapter 3 investigation of people I kill Chapter 4 kill the right people this time 😂
I hate how badly the show screwed up the end. Skipping the whole scene with Ben and Katie kind of leaves a weird opening for the text of the seasons of the show. Maybe it's just me, but that plays such a huge role in the rest of the novels, the shoe is gonna end up being way different. Maybe it'll end up being better, but I don't know
