His ability to communicate with people already makes him more powerful than 98% of the superhero community. Most just sulk, eat hot chip and destroy stuff.

My favorite thing about Wonder Man is that he is vegetarian strictly for cholesterol reasons.... And I like to think that never crossed his mind the fact of his body being made of ionic energy means he does not have organs to have any kind of vascular stroke.

The kinda hero I need! I’m thin am in pretty good shape but due to genetics I have high blood pressure and high LDL Cholesterol. I’ve had to switch to a diet high in fruits and veggies to keep my numbers in check. It’s nice to know there’s a superhero with the same problem

I first became interested in Wonder Man during the late 70's and early 80's when he and Beast were on the Avengers and hung out together almost like a buddy-cop duo. They had some really fun stories and I have liked him ever since. Nice to see him get some props from you.

Their friendship is, like, the number one reason I hate that Beast has been guided towards supervillainy in the last few years. Though, that said, Wonder Man was kind of heading that way back in the early/mid 2000s.

Wonder Man was always my favorite Marvel hero.....and I really appreciate how over the years his personality matured from unsure of himself, to headstrong, to level-headed. I'd really love to see him added to the cinematic universe.

When i started reading comics was around when West Coast Avengers kicked off, so he was one of my favorite characters, so powerful, love to see him in the MCU at some point.

His name has made it in the movies. There was a poster outside a theater in a movie that said 'Wonderman' starring Simon Williams, with a picture of Nathan Fillion wearing a red safari type jacket. I think it was in Deadpool II. Tho, it may only have been in the trailer for the movie. He was also in a deleted scene from Guardians of the Galaxy 2, playing Simon Williams. He is providing the voice for Wonderman in an upcoming animated Show for Marvel. It seems that he is in line to play the character id Marvel ever decides to bring him in to the MCU.

Kind of a silly superhero name maybe? One that makes you think of a more iconic female superhero? Otherwise, his (current) look & powers are sort of a combo of Superman & blue energy Superman. The other reasons that he never took off might be b/c Marvel probably didn't handle him as well as they could've. As mentioned in the video, he was a bad guy a lot of the time early on. Also, his first few costumes were pretty ridiculous looking (the green spandex w/ red "W" & "M" lettering across his body, or a black suit w/ a red cargo jacket). Plus, his personality (his lack of confidence) is such that he fades into the background. If he had a better name, a better look (like his current one), & was assertive & confident, he'd basically be Marvel's Superman.

Because he's way too OP. A character isn't captivating because of how powerful he is, it's because of his character and his struggle to achieve his goal. Someone as powerful as Wonderman has zero challenge doing anything he wants. There's no drama, no conflict.

This guy was on the cover of the first comic I ever owned, pretty sure it was an Excalibur issue. Always thought he was pretty badass. For other omega/beyond omega characters for you to possibly cover, what about; Miracleman/Marvelman, Impossible man, Super Skrull(s) (like Virtue & Titannus etc), Cul Borson, Graviton, Anti-Man or Quasar? There are lot more but those ones would be pretty cool!

The first time I learned about Wonder Man was when I got a Marvel Legends action figure of him when I was like 9 or 10. Didn't know anything about him, but it came with a comic where Kang had imprisoned the planet and Scarlet Witch helped Simon escape. Pretty cool, but still didn't understand his powers at all. He was in the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon though and I thought he was a pretty good character, though he never got past his reluctant villain phase in that show unfortunately. That show is still the best interpretation of the Avengers in any non-comic medium imo. I'm surprised Rob doesn't talk about it more.

Really loved Wonder Man as Hollywood in the old Guardians of the galaxy run, especially during the Galactic Guardians mini series

I dont comment much but I have been a fan of your channels for a while and I must say this video takes me back to my childhood. Wonder Man is one of my families favorite. Myself, my Brother and My Sister all grew up reading about this dude and we all have been wanting to see him in the MCU. So many of these comic panels i remember. So many of these covers I remember from my childhood. Even our late Father LOVED THESE COMICS AND THIS CHARACTER!!!. Bro i had no idea he was that powerful. I remember when he swallowed the Bomb and lived. When he fought Gladiator, That Cover with Spectral Vision and the sister with the Gun (forgot the name of the team), Hercules and Thor. This video has made me SMILE in such a huge way. I am so glad you did this video and i am ABSOLUTELY going to show my Brother and Sister. Thankyou so much and much success to the channels.

Long time fan of Wonder Man since his solo series dropped, so here’s a tidbit. His immortality is further displayed when appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy run under the moniker, “Hollywood”… This incarnation was the 31st century team led by Vance Astro, and the reveal was quite the surprise then.

How I would bring Simon Williams the Wonder Man into the MCU is to reference the Arc Reactor that was blown up in the first Iron Man film. In the 1970's or later Obadiah Stain disintegrated Simon Williams using the large Arc Reactor, but the Arc Reactor kept him in a buffer for decades and he was dispersed when it was destroyed. In Endgame, when everyone returned in the blip so was Simon Williams. He first believes that he time traveled, but comes to the realization he is more of an energy being with the mind and memories of Simon Williams.

I was hoping to see Simon Williams in WandaVision, as like a vessel Wanda was using to give her memories of Vision a physical body. Probably a bit too dark for Disney, given the implications, but it could've been an interesting twist on the Williams/Vision connection, how he gains powers (through the hex), his role as an actor, and his love for Wanda.

I like Wonder man and tried to collect his self-titled series back in the day. That's where his powers went out of control an granted super powers to eight of his neighbors who ended up becoming a short-lived team called the Crazy Eight

When John Byrne did the Avengers in the 80s, he drew and wrote him well. I really learned to like him back then.

I love Wonder Man. His ionic form from Busiek and Perez' era of the Avengers looked dope af and I always enjoy seeing him pop up.

Simon Williams has always been one of the most interesting strong men of the Avengers. Simon Williams arguably has the highest vulnerability among members who have been avengers who include other super strong heavyweights such as Thor and Hercules. From the classic MU invulnerability scale, Wonder Man was rated at 9 whereas most other super strong MU characters were rated at around 7. I remembered the Wonder Man one shot. The Avengers called Simon Williams for an emergency situation to stop the Sand Man and remove him out of a nuclear reactor. According to the Avengers database at the time of the emergency, the Avengers stated that Simon Williams was the only Avenger capable of walking inside the core of a hot reactor without being harmed. I was impressed with Wonder Man's abilities at that time. I remembered the classic Avengers story when he knocked out Thor with a single blow when he was a bad guy.

That Thor moment was referenced in the Thing solo book and it has always stuck with me. I absolutely his original costume with those "goggles and the wristbands. Ahhh, good times.

Wonder Man is my all time favorite super hero! He is so underrated recently. I was lucky to grow up with him in the Mighty Avengers and Uncanny Avengers. I also really loved going back and reading the West Coast Avengers!

Please cover Universe X and Paradise X. I loved the original Earth X story you covered and would love to see you cover it's sequels.

I always liked the "man of wonders"since seeing Avengers# 9 in a reprint comic.I tracked it down and bought an original copy and i treasure it to this day.

there was a version of him in the eXiles series where he absorbed the hulks gamma radiation and was married to Scarlet Witch.

Apparently this guy who did stuff is getting his own Disney+ show. Will be very interesting to see.

I've been following comics since 1974 and stopped in 2003 when they went to CRAP. Wonder Man was one of my favorites, and him being tied to the Vision was another plus. His powers are similar to DC Comic's Wildfire, of "The Legion of Superheroes." Both beings are composed of energy, but Wonder Man's are on a more solid/material plane than Wildfire's powers. They did toy with Wildfire shifting his energies to a more solid form but I think the strain was a bit much. I was elated when they converted his power over to ionic energy as it moved the mediocre hero into the space-age. Great topic as I like to see when the obscure superheroes get their due. Thanks.

In The Last Avengers Story, When the Incredible Hulk turned evil and ripped the hero Tyrga in half. Wonder Man went after the Hulk, and the Hulk punched a hole in Wonder Man's chest. Wonder Man staggered forward, and hung onto the Hulk long enough to set off a massive explosion killing both of them....it was the last thing Hawkeye saw before he went blind.

Now THAT dude... is cool. He is a great character. I kinda knew who he was growing up, but he's one of the ones that I didn't get or appreciate till I started reading comics again as an adult. Weren't there also a bunch of stories of him and Beast being best buddies and getting into hijinks and/or shenanigans? He could be a huge character if the MCU gives him the same love and respect that Jon Favreau gave Iron Man. At the very least, I hope someone writes a decent comic series starring him doing his thing or maybe teaming up with random dudes like the old Marvel Team-Up comics from the 70s/80s.

When I heard the rumor that Nathan Fillion would be teased as Wonder Man, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to see more in the MCU than that. I never got into West Coast Avengers, but if they can make Vision and Wonder Man duke it out over Wanda, I'd be all for it.

An extremely super powered pacifist would be really interesting addition to the MCU. He could function as a reluctant hero like Hank Pym in Earth's mightiest heros or as a practical response to the sacovia accord's. He could even be more of a humanitarian who only acts purely to defend people vs harming antagonist to win fights. Until Doom steals his powers and WRECKS HOUSE with them!
