I’m forever a Khorkina fan too. And Ellie Black is such a Canadian icon and hard worker continuing to show up for her team. It’s incredible. Great video.

Yes, definitely! I will do a "Best Specialists of All Time" serie after Paris, considering only medals at Worlds + Olympics. Probably giving double of points to the Olympics Medals.

I feel like Mai and Rebecca Bross have to be two of the most“oh if only” ones on this list. Would have won without a fall in a routine, so close. I remember Khorkina winning her three AA titles, but refresh my memory when she finished second?

Dominique Dawes also, she'd fall and throw crazy tricks to try and bring her D score back up but she was rock solid in every team final in both the worlds and Olympics

This video really highlights those standout gymnasts who are always so close yet so far. Cried back in 2017 when Ellie Black won her AA medal. I love these Beyond Medals videos, they really are showcasing how many gymnasts are consistently so close to the top.

The 2 per country rule makes this video inaccurate. There are better all rounders who don't get to compete because they come from a country with a lot of top notch gymnasts! Ally Raisman is an example.
