Most bassists don't play like that....To be honest only person I could even think of is Tom Araya from slayer, and bassist from Kiss

The fact that you are playing a song that originally uses a 6 string fretless bass on a 5 string fretted bass astounds me. You sir are awesome!

The high C string kinda crosses over into lead guitar territory, so it's more of a nice-to-have than something that will realistically be used.

@@horstherbert35 depends on the genre and how you play! i can play high chords if the guitar needs a solo in jazz, i can solo or pay leads in metal... i use it all the time!

I can't really deny that I prefer this on the fretless bass, but I can say that it sounds a lot better on the fretted bass than I thought it would, and this is some awesome musicianship right here. (Your instrument is also a thing of beauty.) :D

Stephen Hideous Oh it will be a good while before I have it done lol. This is sort of my challenge that I'm working on building up to along with my normal playing. Right now I'm working on getting some of those scalar runs under my fingers and up to speed while keeping it nice and clean. I'll keep you posted though.

Thomas Brynaert For live gigs I use an Ashdwon head, but on the vid I'm just plugged to a small audio board I use for videos like this - effects are DI bass on Guitar Rig. Also use Sonar Cakewalk.
