This 3-on-3 match type is a genius idea for balancing. Wizard Rod is OP, yes. But it usually only awards 1 point with a few opportunities for 2 or 3 points. And players can only use Wizard Rod once to get as many points as possible (1 point) before they cannot use it again (until the reset). While attack types can usually score more points. Defense types are somewhere in the middle. So I hope this type of balancing is enough. ^^

Yep, the deck format definitely helps with balancing. Though it wouldn't hurt for Takara Tomy to release a slightly stronger attacker to have better odds against Wizard Rod without being overpowered
