As we're in Black History month, how ironic would it be for CBS or other networks to highlight blacks in Science, Technology, Mathematics, and aerospace? We are much more than entertainment and fashion. Maybe CBS needs a research department to broaden its scope and understanding of the black American experience. Great to see Ms. Johnson being recognized but insulted that not much thought was put into honoring black American greatness.

@@rosep9866 Transgender has nothing to do with Black History Month; tired of LGBTQA issues being lumped in with black issues, and trying to imply Ms. Johnson is a man isn't funny.

You haven't been paying attention because the show highlights black people in every profession and not just during black history month. You could've have easily looked that up.

@@annzeeg4217@ annzeeg4217 I should be direct, I don't want to see entertainers and athletes honored this month. We're always celebrating black celebrities and athletes. It's irritating and disrespectful. There are black scientists, medical professionals, engineers, and black people that actually make a difference in the world without a mic or a ball in their hand or face. Black excellence should be thinkers. How come new stations won't celebrate black astrophysicists or black scientists that created vaccines? Or what about the complicated feelings the black scientist must've felt when they were on the Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb? Media only give us black history they can stomach, and their audience can stomach, but our real contribution will never be discussed, we only get athletes and entertainers.
