I don't know if i'd break into a friend's house for a present.

This must have been one of the few times that the series dealt with a male character struggling to come to terms with a traumatic experience. Many of the female characters (Brenda, Kelly, Donna and Valerie) went through issues involving being held at gunpoint, harassment, stalking, sexual assault, etc. It's important to know that a person of either gender is not invincible when it comes to these issues. And I agree that Brandon breaking into Dylan's house was really stupid. Luckily for him, the gun didn't go off.

Agree as you watch the series the death of his father, getting car jacked, the failed relationships with both Brenda and Kelly etc. Dylan became more and more messed up. It was heartbreaking because Dylan tried to be a good guy, he was the one that tried to help Brandon and Silver on numerous occasions but he just finally reached his breaking point and got to the point where he honestly had no faith in anything because it seemed the more he tried the more fate would just screw him completely over with having terrible things happening in his life.

Yes it does. And this scene, early 1995ish, was filmed about three years before the cell phone revolution (when I was visiting London back in May of 1998 almost everyone had a tiny flip phone, which I was fascinated by, roughly one year before they became common in Boston).

Brandon breaks into Dylan's house. Brandon gives Dylan a speech about safety. What was that little selfish hypocrite going to do? Take the present and leave the house open with broken door for whoever comes next??? 😂🤦‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️
